  1. Road tax is about £500 a year if it's a manual, a lot less if auto, £290 according to normski :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. That's exactly how it works on my 07 IS250 pal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Mmmmm might have a look at the Saris bones, I'm a bit scared to use a carrier like that as my bikes are worth not much less than my car Cheers for the feedback guys
  4. Cheers pal. Yeah would have to be detachable, couldn't cope with it sticking out the back all the time but even when it's detached you can still see it can't you. I've always had roof carriers with Thule 591, very secure. At 6ft lifting them up isn't a problem. Still swaying toward the towbar but i just don't want to fork out for one lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. As a keen cyclist I need to be able to get myself and my bikes about so wondering how others do such things and what the pro's cons are...... Towbar pros - Probably the safest/strongest. Has other uses that I'll use such as trailer/caravan ect. Wont affect the already low MPG figures. Quieter. The mucky bike wont drip all over the roof of my car :) cons - Cost is higher and lost when selling the car. Looks terrible, even the detachable ones can still be seen. Might have to have the rear bumper cut to fit. Roof bars pros - Easy for loading the bikes on at the end of a ride. Can be sold after car has gone or adjusted to fit new car(with different fittings) In comparison to the tow bar approach, they are CHEAP as chips. cons - Need to be removed when not in use :( MPG figures will plummet. Very noisy. Mucky bike drippage. So, what are others doing? If anybody has a detachable tow bar fitted a pic of how it looks would be great :) Cheers Mark
  6. Looks awesome that mate!! Keen to know if they rub on full lock/speed bumps/full load ect as need new wheels for mine :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Not sure on install mate, guess it would be from the boot(sorry if stating the obvious ) As for what speakers, replace like for like. Search ebay, they do come up. If you haven't got the Mark Levinson system then why not spend a little more and try to find a full set of ML complete with amp, you defo wont be disappointed!
  8. I wasn't driving in the mid 90s so I don't remember them having ANY road courtesy or respect #shaking my head Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Great write up mate, will be doing this to mine shortly :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Cheap ones off eBay :embarrassed: They were only about £20 a pair so just went for it, what do I need to check to ensure this isn't happening to mine Wen? Cheers Mark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Yeah pal, but only for phone, no option for playing music :-/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Hi, I'm sure this has been covered but after 20 mins looking I cant find too much info so figured I'd just ask the question :P What are you guys doing to connect your Iphones to the car? I have a 07 IS250 with nav and ML system, I currently have a 3.5mm connection into the arm rest but it's annoying the life out of me due to being very untidy, dangerous as still using the phone to change songs and mostly, I cant see what I'm listening to on the screen :( Cheers in advance Mark
  13. Did you do this pal? Keen to know the answer to your question................and see pics obviously :D This has helped me out in the past http://www.willtheyfit.com/
  14. Mine came with HID head lights as standard, I've just changed the d4s bulbs for 6000k. The fog lights I bought a HID kit with wiring loom, ballast and bulbs and retro fitted. Looks miles better imo and lights the road up much better than standard halogen :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I've just fitted 6000k to my 250, miles better looking. A much crisper white look than oem. I've fitted a 6000k HID kit to my fogs and 6000k LED side lights for the full deal front end. I've also fitted 6000k white LEDs to mirror lights and interior lights(make sure what you order is white as I've had to do this twice thanks to the first lot being too blue for my liking) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Have a word with TDI North in Warrington pal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Pretty cool that! Where did you buy from? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. My IS has a shaking rear view mirror, but only when the ML system is cranked up ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. They're a V8 pal ;) Curious to know what the tax is on one of these though, my 250 is £490, can't be much dearer than that??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Yes they will fit, the ones I used are 27mm, cheaper than your link and UK too so arrive in a couple of days. Although are slightly blue'er than I originally thought. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=331348796146&globalID=EBAY-GB Double up as sidelight and front interior light too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I fitted some I bought off eBay this week, they look blue'er in the pic than what they actually are(must be iPhone cam) I ordered white but they do have a blue tint....... They ARE brighter too :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. The Distance Selling Regulations haven't applied since June 2014, when they were superseded by the Consumer Contracts Regulations. http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/distance-selling-regulations But most STILL have a 14 day cooling off period, all you will pay for is the days that have already passed. Jack, phone them to cancel, when they ask why(and they will) tell them everything. Don't forget to mention the amount of car clubs you are a member of with access to 100s of members and you have highlighted it on each of them. Good luck pal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I've had the exact same problem, with Admiral funny enough. They manufactured 3 points on my other halves license. Fortunately hers is a UK license so I simply went on the DVLA website to look at her licence and screen printed it onto a email to them, few days later sorted. If you have the paper part of so called offending licence, without the points, scan it or take a photo and send to them. Good luck pal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Evening all, I'm looking at refurbing the wheels on my IS250 so looking for a set to put on while I'm doing it. Would tick all boxes if they were cheap, had road legal tyres and within couple of hours drive from Liverpool but will consider all offers. Or if anybody has a set lying around they dont want to sell but willing to loan me(for :beers: obviously) for a couple of weeks that would work also. Cheers :) Mark Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
