  1. Like you I have the Yokohamas on at the moment. I've done 32k on them, just had it serviced and all four are at 4mm but the rears are down to 2 mm on the inside edge.
  2. I need to get two new tyres and have been looking at Pirelli Cinturato P7 blue, has anyone got experience of them? Have had Michelins on my last two cars but not sure what they are like on a Lexus.
  3. Aerospace 303 for the interior for me, can buff it up to a shine or wipe on wipe of if you like a matt look. Anti static too. Meguires perfect clarity for the windows.
  4. what's behind the gear lever? looks like it's a display of some sort
  5. thanks for the info guys, it happened again today and I had to reset it three times. I'll get it sorted at the next service.
  6. Has anyone else had a problem with the ice freezing? Had the sat nav on and radio but they both froze, radio muted and sat nav stopped giving directions or moving the map. I tried to change the radio channel, nothing. Tried to cancel the sat nav nothing. Had to pull of the motorway, turn off the car and restart it. Not had the problem before or since so hopefully its just a glitch!
  7. No adjustment to your headlights needed for driving in France.
  8. Dr leather gets my vote, cleaned all the blue dye of my tan seats and wasn't sticky afterwards. Smelt nice as well :)
  9. I emailed Lexus and got this response. Thank you for taking the time to email us. Lexus vehicles are made to European specification. Your current IS300h comes with a LED front fog lights with cornering light function and any vehicle that has LED or HID lights have a flat beam, which does not require any modification when travelling to Europe. Having used the car for 3 trips to Europe in the last 4 months, I can confirm that I have had no issues and that they don't seem to dazzle oncoming traffic
  10. Same here, my Audi and Mercs Xenons were much better. Had the IS lights looked at with the first service but they said they are set right. To me the beam doesn't seem to be long or strong enough. Could that be why you don't need to get them adjusted for Europe?
  11. I had the same problem as you Tash when I plugged in my new Road Angel, I contacted them and they sent out a new charger and that solved the issue. May be worth getting a good quality charger and seeing if that works.
  12. Not had a problem to be honest, the only one that is poor is Heart and that changes between fm and dab seamlessly, as I go up the M6 other than that I listen to Radio 2, Magic, Smooth Absolute 80's and Talk sport all without a problem.
  13. Mine went off Sunday night but I think it was just down to the really strong winds, not had a problem before or since.
  14. 2 x Vauxhall Viva, Ford Capri, VW Golf Gti, Vauxhall Cavalier, Saab 900se,Ford Mondeo, Peugeot 307 SW, VW Passat, Audi A6 3.0 tdi, Mercedes C220, Lexus IS300h
  15. how hard is it to replace the reversing light bulbs? Thanks
  16. After having an Audi and a Mercedes I have to agree that the infotainment is not in the same league, likewise I agree it's a great car
  17. Got back from a 750 mile journey to Brugge and managed 49 mpg, very happy with that considering that it was 95% motorway miles at around 75 mph.
  18. I can't help with the sat nav as I don't have the premium but Gracenote is showing as V05377, thats on a 4 month old car so I would expect it to be pretty up to date .......but then again.
  19. I don't mind mobile detailers but they don't typically do ceramic coatings which take a while to cure. They don't have any trouble putting C quartz on though as it doesn't require too long I agree, I know G technic need to "go off" overnight, I can't comment on C quartz as I've never used it to be honest. It all depends on what you want and how much you are willing to pay for it at the end of the day.
  20. Ceramic coating is definitely the way to go if you do larger mileages. Have a search on line for detailers in your area and have a read on some sites to see if they do what you want/need. Give them a ring and they should be able to guide you to what you need. I personally wouldn't go for anyone who is mobile. Gtechniq: Gtechniq C1 and Exo V2. C1 becomes the functional surface for the paintwork. It gives great protection and helps reduce wash marring, scratching and gives great levels of dirt repellency. That is the first part, the exo v2 boosts the look of C1 giving much more gloss and the water sheeting is unrivalled.Use exo v2 to coat other paint protection coatings it is so good at sheeting water off. It makes a car very easy to wash, a lot of the dirt is washed off with a hose (even better with a pressure washer) the shampoo and sponge or mitt glide over the surface and when rinsed off there is very little water left to dry.
  21. This is what I had applied http://www.gtechniq.com/products/auto/perfect/exterior/paint/crystal-serum I had a look around and all the reviews of it were good. Wax is good but doesn't protect the paint as well as it will naturally wear of. May be worth having a chat with somebody like these (below) or have a look on detailingworld.co.uk. http://www.detailmycar.co.uk/enhancementdetail.html
  22. I'd normally do it myself but wanted some protection for the paint as I'd heard it's a little soft. Hopefully this will keep it looking good over the winter.
  23. They had it overnight as the coating needs to cure, all the work is done inside. They have a nice set up, on the day I picked my car up they were working on a brand new Ferrari 488 speciale in metallic grey that looked stunning delivered direct from the dealers. The poor guy who owned it also decided to buy an F12 while he was there.....it's a hard life for some people!!!! http://www.devilledetailing.co.uk/
  24. Had the car four weeks tomorrow and knocked up 2400 miles already, I love the looks of it and yes like you I keep looking back at it.
