Wheel alignment / tracking is often influenced by the state of the roads you’re driving on and that impact on your tyres, steering set-up whatever ……. and at the tiny mileage covered you might not even see undue tyre wear either …. Yet …. Might be the service guys are recommending as they’re just touting for business whatever It used to be that if there was nowt wrong then the checking wasn’t charged for …… you’d get a printout showing green and red indicators and green at the final printout when all adjusted …….. Often the rear adjustments are just a little unnecessary ( over the top ) as that won’t affect your steering …….. On this basis you might want to have it checked out at an independent tyre place that does tracking etc AND not charge if there’s nowt to be adjusted ! You’ll see by the printouts I’ve mentioned The air con re-charge …… seems OTT to my mind too 🤔 Good luck ! Malc

Hahaha I’ve had a Mk2 too in times past If it’s sold then they used to say the engine etc was worth a few grand …… nope I’m settled now when I bought this Mk1 having been totally turned off by the impracticality of the Sc430 when someone outta the blue parked up outside and gave me an in depth appraisal of his new to him Sc430 …….. My nephews Range Rover new bumper whatever, slight damage really, the insurers agreed for the repairer to use 2nd hand from a Breaker / TheBay rather than wait forever, indeterminate months, for brand new ……. he just wanted his car back on the road ok and useable …… just a month out of action rather than forever …..,, practicalities eh ! I think the “ cause for concern “ element refers to mechanical damage …… yes, any preventative maintenance decreasing risk of breakdown especially in busy traffic is good …… punctures happen too, serpentine belt goes, alternators too …… shame the cambelt condition can’t be checked in situ ……. BUT can it ? Does anyone know how to check this ? Thanks Malc

I’m well up to date on my 95 Mk3 car but the recently bought 91 J reg, now approaching 100k miles, I can’t see from the inherited docs that it’s ever had the change 🤔 At this era Ls400 it’s the non-interference engine and I’m taking some little comfort from that and won’t expect anything to go “ bang “ with catastrophic outcomes Lets see how my budgeting pans out to address this Malc

Out of interest ……. what’s the mileage / time years, since the last cambelt etc change on your cars ? I was reading long back that the “ break / bust “ time for a Ls400 cambelt might be 150k miles …….. 10 years / 100k miles in my book but others might have different thoughts and experiences Thanks Malc

I’d confuse myself …… at least with the inbuilt obsolescence of the redundant satnav screen ……. outmoded and outdated and me trying to get it to work better than my iPhone maps stuff which is always uptodate and spot on …… probably 🤔 nope, I think I’ll pass on the opportunity Thanks all the same 😂 Malc
