  1. I have just cracked open another tin of Guinness and raised it to the Sun and said a few words............ 😩 Big Rat
  2. You are right about parts there are some about, just bought 4 excellent wheels/ tyres for £500.00 and have offered £100.00 on a rear bumper with all the sensors and so on, but as for the other unique parts I think you would struggle. If you had the cash and space buy the whole car and break either for a 'bank' of parts for yourself if you were so inclined or as an investment for the future. It does take some balls to do this at this stage but if you look back at many other cars that were of interest to individuals who now say with monotonous regularity 'yeah I had one of those now if I only I had one now ' or for that matter this part or that. Fortune favours the brave. Big Rat
  3. Chatting with other owners recently regarding parts prices, even a cursory glance at this one you can see even if you did all the work yourself not quite sure if it's worth it ☹️ Example one wheel £1453.65 on the Lexus site. Apparently a radiator which are not available as stock have to be made in Japan for a four figure sum. Accepting you don't have to use new but I would suggest used parts are scarce to say the least - shame. Big Rat
  4. Marcus ive been digging deeper into the site and there are pictures that may just show a wheel for instance with no reg, if you go into the picture even if it's not taken in this country there are invariably many more pictures. I found mine on the Audi RS6/4 Section where there had what appeared to be a run from this country to Monaco with Rs ,M3 ,ISF The quality of some the pictures is very very good. Big Rat
  5. Yes very good Marcus seen my last topic is your car or any of your previous rides there ? Big Rat
  6. Just waiting for mark to come up it is a cracking site, it's the gift that just keeps giving as even if your car isn't there it mat be with another like model and so on. Ive found another of my previous cars as well The pictures of your are really very good, and after all you are an expert, sincerely meant 👍 Big Rat
  7. https://www.autogespot.com/lexus/is-f/spots/55 Found this site on a Dutch car forum it's pretty self explanatory what they are about. But one aspect I found fascinating is the CAR SPOT PAGE. Basically people photograph a particular model of car upload the picture to the site with time-date-place. It covers the whole of Western Europe going back many years. With some uk cars pictured abroad as well I entered Lexus IS-F and it threw up no less than 55 pages with 20 cars per page. You can even see the drivers faces on some. I have found my car on a previous private plate parked in the car park of a Casino in Monaco in 2010 😂😂😂 I have looked all the pages but I have also seen @Flytvr car as well prior to him owning it. (Page 16) Go on guys give it a go you might find yours ! What I forgot to mention is if you click on the picture that interests you some have many extra shots, and occasionally it's very good photography. Big Rat
  8. Yep you are right that's it the one I had in mind was the ' lemar' car from a previous post of mind. Its now become my fav colour but do not tell anyone else on here 😂 Big Rat
  9. Remember looking at this one on the tube typical stupid tube comments concentrating on the car testers fashion clothing sense or lack there of. I think the Americans can come from a slightly different perspective at times with cars like these for a number of reasons i.e. Fuel costs being the main one ! I think the car close to you has to be worth a look it's the only way you are going to get a feel for the model of car it's all about condition how they drive, then look at the all the obvious things like mileage service history, checkable history not just the stamps. If it's a IS-F you want, sounds like your still not quite sure, there are more knowledgeable ones on here than I, the GS-F is of course a great car as well but obviously costs considerably more 🤔 Big Rat
  10. I found this one on the Portuguese website, my Japanese is not good 😊 Glad for the subtitles 👍 Big Rat
  11. On the subject of EVO they had a massive turnover of staff in the latter part of 2016, and the digital version of the mag was changed dramatically for the worse in my opinion, so I've cancelled my subscription to both. Got an e-mail asking why, come back etc etc. No was the reply because you've never responded to any of my previous enquirys on various matters, so what's the point. Gonna get modern classics like @Mark G instead. Big Rat
  12. I think the Russian bloke was just so utterly hacked off with the reliability of his excellent purchase choice that he decided to go to his local Lexus dealer, you can just see the sign in the top left hand corner........... cough cough And to wake the tech guys up to the very poor condition of the rear tyres, and as we all know it's the dealer that will quote him for the cheapest price replacements 😂 Big Rat
  13. Hi Mark You we're not present when the 'Last Of the Summer wine 3 ' met for coffee and cake - when they were supposed to be at work - so @Big Rat and @Flytvr and @Mark G came to pretty much the same conclusion. Not that it was easy to hear what each other was saying as 'down town Detroit ' (Chippenham ) was alive with the sound of gunfire 😬 We love you really Mark ! Big Rat
  14. Exactamondo ! I get all these from contacts in the East they are called fancy bear 🐻 Big Fancy Rat
  15. Oh I don't know about disadvantaged matey the cake you bought yesterday was lovely the only disadvantage one was @Flytvr who missed out for being late 😂 Only joking matey hope your back is better 👍 Big Rat
  16. Hi David its funny how life is with these things at times, I subscribed to EVO from about the middle of 2007 and kept them all, mainly for the BM's I had at that time, they to apart from the M335i Convertible I had all turned to be a pain in the ***** as well as the purse ! I to was determined on an IS-F but they were still quite a lot then about the mid 40k and I could not justify it with the refurb properties I was buying as well. Due to the angst over the Bm's I took all the mags to the local doctors surgery for the waiting room ! Typical wish I had them now 😕 Hey ho Big Rat
