  1. Yes that’s the one - I’d already seen the advert here I’m quite happy with what I received for a very easy sale. I used motorway.co.uk to advertise the car and it sold the next day. I would have liked more, but wouldn’t we all 😀 What markup do you think they added??? Factor in they need to prepare for sale with a valet and add a 12 month Lexus warranty. Then pay VAT on the profit and leave enough to make some money overall.
  2. Just seen the news that the £3000 grant on EVs is changing from today (I think). Reducing to £2500 but only applies to cars £35k and under. Will effectively mean a £3K price increase on the UXe unless Lexus absorb some of that 😳
  3. Sold the NX this week - it's only done around 1000 miles since March 2020 and only 100 miles since the first MOT back in December 2020. We simply weren't using it, especially since going electric for our other car. A dealer from Kent came up to Sheffield on the train and drove it away. Should be a nice buy for someone - Jan 2018 registered, 16,000 miles, detachable tow bar installed (I never used it!), Lexus dash cam, supaguard, Apple Car Play upgrade, latest software and maps. I'll keep an eye on this forum as my mum owns a 2019 NX and once lockdown is over I need to upgrade her map data 🤣 Sorry to see it go - it's been a great car overall. Best wishes everyone, Phil
  4. Personally the send to car function isn’t really worth the effort. On my old IS300h which has the same nav system as your NX, I used it once to try it out. Didn’t feel like it was any quicker than setting the nav in the car.
  5. Set off driving. Once it locks you onto the planned route the data should appear.
  6. Yes I’m looking to sell. Haven’t done anything about it due to lockdown. Send me a message if you want details.
  7. I had the front only system installed a couple of years ago, before the dual system was released. My dealer did a great job - no wires visible. I uploaded some photos of it back when it was done - click here The video quality can be seen here
  8. Another vote for the Zappi charger here. I did loads of research and found this one to be the best. I needed the load-balancing feature as my incoming main fuse is only 60A. Cost me £700 installed (£1050 before grant) with a local independent electrician. Unless you have 3-phase power at your house, the fastest charging you'll be able to have at home is a 7kW charger (32A). (Note: I don't own a UX300e - just loitering for interest. We own a Renault Zoe in addition to our NX)
  9. The only easy to understand way is to download the TSBs from the lexus-tech website. That requires an active subscription though (about £4.50 for an hours access).
  10. Yes they look like the latest versions. The Navigation software (1550) was only released last week. The Audio software hasn't been updated for your model for quite some time, so 1042 is still the latest. I don't know the reason, but from what I've read you are right - the LC can't be upgraded to the CarPlay version (MM19).
  11. @JeffL if your in the market for an NX I’m looking to sell my Jan 2018 facelift in the very near future (depending on COVID restrictions)... With lockdown and owning an electric car in the household it just doesn’t get used... If interested let me know.
  12. From what I've seen, the naming conventions of CY17 and MM17 appear to be interchangeable.
  13. If you do a car tax check on the gov website, it will tell you if the extra rate is payable. If this row isn't present, then the car doesn't have the extra tax payable. I have a 2018 facelift model. I believe one of the other extras is the adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning. I love the adaptive cruise - makes driving on motorways so easy. You've already mentioned the wider SatNav screen - I really like this but the text is quite small. However I use Apple CarPlay most of the time now. I'm actually thinking of getting rid of mine in the near future. With lockdowns and the fact we now have an electric car in the household, the NX just isn't getting used. I've only done around 3k miles in the last year. Just don't know what to replace it with. We need a 2nd car that is big enough to take suitcases on long journeys - just doesn't need to be a £30-40k car!
  14. Officially CarPlay only works via USB. There are 3rd party wireless adapters available. I have one of these and it works really well - https://cplay2air.com In the CarPlay settings screen on an iPhone you can select which apps appear or don’t appear on your CarPlay system.
  15. WiFi may work if it has the latest software. Otherwise you’ll need to download and activate via the Lexus-tech.Eu site.
  16. This would be a paid update. I know a few people on this site have used this site in the past. Not sure how 'official' it is but it appears to work: https://toyotamaps.online/map-updates/toyota-lexus-navigation-gen8-usb-update
  17. I use the GeniePoint app but there is no charge at all. Alternatively you can start the charge by presenting any contactless or RFID card. I’m sure the promotion will end soon and they will start being charged at the same cost as other GeniePoint sites. I’m guessing your Asda may be PodPoint chargers - the £1 fee sounds familiar. I have a local Tesco too with free 7kW chargers, but keep going to Asda as they are 50kW. I’ve only used my home charger once in 2 months. A weekly 60 min shop at Asda gives me enough charge for the week.
  18. Another thought - if you mean the ‘Update Software’ button in the ‘Software Update’ screen, this isn’t the correct button for OTA updates. This is the USB firmware updates only. You need to access the ‘Online’ section from the menu down the left hand side. I think it is underneath WiFi.
  19. The files you have downloaded will be the full Europe update - no issue using them via USB in the car. I actually did the full update over the weekend rather than keep just the UK update I’d previously installed. Is your car system logged into Lexus Online (have you entered a username/password in the past)? That’s the only reason I can think of for the option to be greyed out.
  20. It’s the same on my NX. The update software button only lights up when a USB stick with new software is detected. The firmware can’t be updated over the air.
  21. I’ll be interested to see this car once it’s available for general test drives. However the prices really put me off. I’d rather have a Tesla for that kind of money. We took delivery of a 2020 Renault Zoe last month and I love it. So easy to drive and really cheap running costs. We got a great deal on a lease so it only cost a little more per month than a similar spec Clio or similar car. With the lower running costs it was a no brainier. It is the GT Line spec so lots of toys too. Our local Asda current has their rapid (50KW) chargers set to free as they are new, so I’ve not paid for any ‘fuel’ yet - we fill up for free with our weekly shop.
  22. I had some time this evening so I've done it already... Pretty straightforward but took much longer than I expected. Once I asked the car system to check for updates I was presented with this screen. The download size is quite small (must only contain changes rather than the whole map) and it is for GB and Ireland only: The download then started with the % completed showing... It took about 15 minutes to download - my WiFi signal is quite weak outside so it was slower than expected: Once downloaded the installation started. I expected this to be quite quick for such a small download. However it took around 40 minutes! Once complete the 'Current map version' screen reported the following: Note: the main software update screen still reports the Nav software to be 2020v1 No codes / payment / activation needed. My infotainment system already has my lexus.co.uk login details programmed in. Hope that information is useful.
  23. According to the tech website, the next version of the navigation maps for newer navigation systems has been released. 2020v2 is now available. I may try doing the update directly in the car rather than downloading onto USB. A job for the weekend...
