  1. @Ullager i see. Sc430 is a thirsty beast indeed. I think the pre 2006 model is in the same tax cost as the the sc430. still two minds. Seem to struggle to find one with good service history and reasonably priced. can @Linas.Pshed some light since you considered is250c too as opposed to sc430 😬 barry
  2. @Ullager good buy! out of interest, what made you choose this over sc430. I know there are some at similar price range or were you always looking at is250c? barry
  3. I have one but its cut into two, so will need a clamp or some welding
  4. I am thinking muffler delete too. Should be good enough without too much drone
  5. I will be selling if i can afford the lc500c 😂 good luck with your search
  6. You try fitment industries? https://www.fitmentindustries.com/wheel-offset-gallery?make=Lexus&model=RC+F&year=2018
  7. There are less than 100 odds isf on the road? And if they are “usually stolen”, i wonder how many there are left…. On that note, I have never had issue with my insurance company either. I have owned mine for just over 2 years barry
  8. Engine swaps are headache. Been there and done that with k swap. Its not for me, back to relatively stock build Barry
  9. Thank you. Good to hear that he is recommended. Never bought private before so am a bit cautious
  10. I am tempted too. Saw the video walkaround and that. But black on black, dun want to get burnt in the summer 😅
  11. @Neil E @Linas.P thank you for your input. Its reassuring to hear your view that the 3uz-fe is more reliable. I think i worry too much abt the interference engine business. yea i test drove a an 05, 5 speed last week. Despite it being poorly looked after, it rode surprising well and peaceful, very different to what some youtubers or top gear led me to believe. i think finding the right one will take a while/ colour combination/facelift before the taxhike if possible. barry
  12. @Malc i prefer sc430 too. Just worry abt the engine. The v6 is250c will undoubted by cheaper to maintain and more reliable I will be running this alongside isf and nx300h so you are not nuts
  13. Obviously the LC is not in the question. is250c or sc430. Price is similar any thoughts would be great
  14. @Lexiguy @Neil E thank you. Is facelift that much better? In term of suspension. I am aware it comes with other bit like adaptive headlight, bluetooth. i am wary that as these ages, the shocks will be shot anyway, so earlier model might be justifiable? the whole business of interference engine, a concern? barry
  15. I would be grateful if someone can enlighten me on their experience with sc430. Running cost etc. is a budget of 7-8k doable?
  16. @scudney It will still pass mot. @Grey One if you want more power down the line then go for decat.
  17. I can only share my experience. Bought four cars in the last 3 years lexus hull, liverpool, derby and hedgend. All distance buying, i havent had any issues. I think approved used have a certain standards? Or i am incredibly lucky. barry
  18. Sorry to bother you. Was it you who replaced it with gsf manifold? barry
  19. Thought i should share this. Test drove a 2017 rcf today as finally there is one popped up on AT locally. having owned the isf for over a year now, always wondered if upgrading it would be a wise decision in the long run. probs not the best comparison but my f has coilover, exhaust and bushing. Imo pros are AVS: so ride is better, more well dampened. It is a better than my kwv3 set up but not by far. Slightly more responsive in the lower rpm range seats are more comfortable faster ? On paper yes, street driving, Dunno i cant tell with the limited time i had it cons imo steering is too light and vague in comparison to the isf? It feels as light as my nx. My f is more weighted i aint tall, 5ft9 but the seat belt is so far back after i have adjusted the seating position that i actually had to give a good turn and reach for it. i genuinely feel cabin noise is quieter in my isf. Could be the tire in the rcf tiring.. but there was also rattle for such a new car from the rear seats. the brake being squeaky didnt help either but that is the dealers preparation It needs an exhaust... too damn quiet stock. barry
  20. X2 sometimes you just want peace and quiet i.e lunch break at work
  21. The intake connector trapped/damaged by the plastic trimmings/cover on the driver side. i have not touched anything up that end and hence never striked me to look up that end. As has had recent radiator replaced my focus was towards the other end... silly me. my car is all fine. Phewwww
