  1. Nah, there was nothing to sort - if you were being picky there was a small mark on the bonnet where the clearcoat had pitted but the lacquer was still ok underneath (stone chip). It had just had a full service and an MOT, so it was picture perfect.
  2. That's her.....in all her glory when they get the pics on....
  3. Texas I had put the price on here @28500 as I really wanted here to go to an enthusiast, put her on AT at a price above that, didn't need to negotiate and had three offers. 2 dealers and 1 private individual that was too late but offered more, but by that time I had shaken hands virtually. Logically the right thing to do to sell her, but emotionally it was a bit **** seeing someone drive her away. Especially after the 15 mins he spent gushing about her condition.... Best car I have ever driven...the ultimate GT
  4. My Baby is Gone...thanks to all who dropped me an email, sorry it didn't go to an enthusiast..
  5. Having decided to reside in sunnier climes, my girl just isn't getting the use she deserves and spends most of her time in Henrys Dehumidified Car Barn, or being painted, polished and preserved by Logic VPC. https://www.henryscarbarn.co.uk/ https://www.logicvpc.com/ It is MY15 (64) Obsidian (Starlight) Black with the Circuit (Rose) Red interior, the car is immaculate (and I don't say that lightly) both internally and externally. It has, fitted at new: Premium Pack - which includes the Triple Beam LEDs and the auto tilt in reverse. It also has the Navigation Package and the Mark Levinson Audio Package (include the clear sticky plastic on the ML logo at the rear-view window). The car has completed only 29,000 miles, and has a full Lexus Service History (Notts, Dublin, Notts, Cov), including the recent 60K service at Lexus Coventry, it also has a full MOT renewed on August 13th. The car comes with the remainder of a 3-year Lexus extended warranty (including roadside), but clearly this is less relevant now, given the one-year extension after every service (don’t think this includes roadside). The car is also fitted with a NextBase Dash Cam, which was a fit at purchase at Lexus Nottingham 20/06/2019 The leather interior gets re-polished every year using ColourLock, coded leather polish and is perfect with no marks, blemishes or press marks (yes, OCD). It has the darker carbon fibre application. The wheels are also professionally recoated in Anthracite, mid gloss by Logic VPC and the car has recently undergone a full detail and ceramic coating by the same. Finally, this year the brake callipers were recoated by Logic VPC using a colour match process against the rose red interior of the car. Tyres were renewed all round at 2500 miles ago, between 6 and 7 mm so practically new. The car will be sold at a fixed price of £28500, I am not going to dance around the handbags on this as I am aware of what she is worth. I will only accept CHAPS or Faster Transfer, no cheque or Escrow. Once funds are cleared, I will sign over V5 and all three keys (including credit card key) If you are interested in owning this perfect example, then please email me at rkenny@tsaeurope.co.uk Thanks Richard
  6. Also one of the guys put on a link to a PistonHeads article about value, and the Lexus Business mangers are all banging on about rarity value, so I think ISF's are trending up, hope the same happens to the RCF
  7. Up for that - depending on dates and timing. I was at caffeine and machine about 2 months ago, they did charge you 5....but you then got that back in coffee as far as I can remember......
  8. I ran a 911 (996) Targa for about a year. All that has been said above is true, noisy, really positive steering, cornering was like you were on rails, much more than the RCF... but Car squeaked and groaned constantly, Targa roof lowers rigidity (apparently normal those nice people at Porsche Solihull said), I ended up vaselining the seats because it ****** me off so much.... The call it a 2+2 but its not....unless your friends are all 4ft 1in and have poker straight backs.. As @Flytvr says if you are going to get a manual you need to get it borescoped, this is less of an issue in the automatic (the tiptronic is also crap) even slower than the paddle shift on the RCF. The real kicker for me was, one day at the Porsche I ended up talking to a guy who had a 996 4S who had just spent 12.5K getting his engine repaired due to IMS bearing failure....this was over 10 years ago so the amount of info online was a lot less but what I managed to glean is that there was design change in the standard 3.6 engine which resulted in a flaw, that was the subject of a class action against Porsche in the US but not in Europe (as far as I remember). So I sold mine ASAP and bought at the time an Audi. Don't quote me but the IMS was a problem in the 996 and the early 997.1...by the time the gen 1.5 had come out the engine design had changed (I think they also at that time introduced the DSG so the gear change was better). I also remember it was not an issue with the Turbos and the GT's (again don't quote me)... I would also say parts and servicing are horrendously expensive and the main dealers attitude are what you expect from an overpriced German brand. Finally, I also travel a lot and I have left my RCF at the airport for 20 days + get in turn the engine and there is no decay of battery power as I see it, did two weeks with the Porsche and the battery was nearly dead, also ran out of power totally once and trying to get into the car was like the Crystal Maze.... To quote Lindsay Buckingham.......Been down one time, Been down two times I'm never going back again
  9. @Womble72...I tracked an IS-F and my own RC-F (end of life tires and pads), both cars I found very heavy and a bit too unforgiving in the corner, but would agree with @FTBBCVoodoo than if you are going to track an F Car then the ISF would be the car. Never tried a LC or GSF......or LFA (if only!!!), so really cant make a totally informed opinion on the whole F breed - although my hypothesis is that the GSF maybe equally as heavy, so that why I commented on the cluster. Would love to be able to track day a variety of F Cars as they can in the USA. https://lexusperformancedrivingschool.com/#/home But was told that "scarcity of product" was one of the major reasons we don't get the LPDS in the UK. Real Shame........ Maybe one day.......
  10. I thought this may help....a friend owns a wheel and alloy refurbished outfit, been going about 15 years. His personal view is that Diamond Cut Alloys are the hell spawn of wheels. I took my RCF into him when I bought it and his view was this. If you are not selling it or looking to lever a buying point, buy it and then fully coat it. Or leave it the **** alone....charming said I If you are going to sell or show it then get the wheel re skimmed using a NCR His objection to DCW is that ever time you skim the face the web of the metal gets bigger and the wheel loses it overall appeal - or it may - who knows - until you commit to the cut. His final bug bear is once you do the skim cut, the process lifts at a microsurface level the coating or paint between the diamond cut faces...therefore ever destined to flake or corrode. Hid advice to me was fully coat it and when you come to sell it - them ill skim the face and take it back.....I asked about ceramic coating the wheel - would that help, Sam said yeah - help to empty your bank account!!!!! So at the moment I am sitting on the kerbed alloys and occasionally painting it.....

  12. LOL...love it, my problem is most of my neighbors are either "boomers" - too deaf to care........or Gen Z.....don't really know what a real CAR is.....and why does it sound like that.....coming out onto the Kenilworth Road...most mornings is like doing a J Turn...only I drop about 90 degrees....that back end on the RCF is none too kind...... Do send me the video of the JT in the snow......
  13. Just downloaded the image and magnified out......Lee did a real job it looks absolutely fantastic....I know I may be biased but Starlight and that depth of polish.....it just really POPS.....stunning!!!!
  14. Great idea....not sure the M5 owner behind me on the estate (read "Close") would be overly happy.....worth a try though!!!!!! Handbrake out at 06.30 am .......my kind of town!!!!
  15. Voodoo are you on your period?.....Chill out don't get so bitchy man.....its was a joke FFS...... 67 is a forecast from Lexus Business Management...they believe that 67 will be the end state number for collectible ISFs in the next 5 yrs...so my comment on strategy was if you want to invest...keep the mileage low and don't track the car (TBH its a **** awful track star...and so are all the stable mates ----RCF, GSF, etc) It might be cheap but it just doesn't hold the back end....if you want to track, buy an Atom or a Civic TR....a Lexus stable just isn't the choice..... .....
  16. Very much a "handbags at dawn" conversation on PHDS but interesting information none the less..... https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=86&t=1724652
  17. Wonderful job.....real deep tone on the Starlight Black....love it!!!!
  18. Having read this condition report i am shifting between the ending of Randy The Wrestler....his bad heart and the the Ram Jam drop...as the saddest piece of text I have read......or this **** CR.....and Voodoo.....how can you track this....there is only 67 in the UK.....its not a good strategy....
