When looking for a car online it is imperative that if you like what yousee and are genuinly interested in it that you invest a few quid in the FULL online checks . There are many out there Experion , Car Analytics , HPI checker etc . Pay them the money they ask (£7 approx per motor ) and get this before calling or messageing the seller . That way you are prearmed to ask the right questions . I was intrested in around six sc430's lately and for £40 I have the history on them . Its money gone down the drain if you dont buy , but its well spent if you do . PS ihavnt found the one I want yet .................................

I did two seperate checks . reported itto Gumtree that it was not mentioned on the add but I was talking to myself I fear!. Would not want anybody to be stung . Its different if you are straight up about a CAT S or otherwise and repair it professionably and then price accordingly . Not the case with this one . I woud not buy a damaged repairable or Insurance write off .Just been out in my S2000 Honda for a spin .... perfect ..... but not plush like the sc430.

Had an new2004 IS ...not too bad had an IS250SE AUTO not good ..had a GS450H not good either ....had to leave it at home in 2010.....now have a subaru forester with winter tyres ...superb!!!!!also CRV EX bloody good if not up to the scoobie .......Glad Lexus made the new generation so UGLY!!! I dont miss them!!!

Lexus seem to have lost the plot .........look at .the new GS450h design etc for 2012...looks like a kit car put together by a boy racer ...after market bling ..........has the headmans son taken over ...Lexus....RIP

Lost the plot altogether .....I think I have never seen an uglier car in my life .I have bought a new IS200...and then a new IS250 and then a 2nd hand GS450h .......and lovec my lexus...but alas thats the end ..........thats a "20 year olds" design...gaudy brash and unrefined ....looks like a boy racers project car ....shame on you LEXUS!!!!!

I have owned an IS250SE MM AUTO from new in 2006 and it is a great car. A wek ago I traded it against a 2008 GS450h .............I can categorically state you should go for the 450h if you can insure it????Its just a little bit classier but is really a lot quicker!!!.Anyway they are both great so enjoy ...Not many can have one at your agE!!:00

We really as motorists should STOP all till ***** about Approved Lexus dealer stamps making the resell price higher .Its ALL a con job by them to up the anti!!!! I do my own servicing and would not trust a Lexus dealer to do it correctly .The only time I had problems was when Lexus Belfast did my warrenty work just before the 3 yr limit . When I got the car back I had a seized caliper on the front and a auto grearbox problem that had been induced by the garage by not putting the correct amount of toyota WS in the transmission. They would not cover the caliper as it was a week outside warrenty even though they had had the car for 3 weeks doing the vvti sprocket mod.I investigated the gearbox myself and found they had underfilled it by 1.5 Lts ( you really DO need to follow the correct fill procedure).When i had done it properly the gearbox was as smooth as ever.So be aware the guys are right ...the stamp is not worth the ink its stamed with.PS the mongoose lead is great for diagnostics!!!

back again ....all the gs450h owners are dead!!!!!!!I think ....... The car I bought looks worse than the 250 i sold not as nice as the F sport ...but guys you wanna drive it !!!!!it is superbjust cant et over how good it feels ...and the 250 was reallly nice .......Come on ahmed I want to see you DEVELLOPING the 450h

Anyone with a 450h done the sat nav dvd modification to enable on the move . I did my IS250 4 years ago bot wonder if the wiring is the samee . I have not got the electrical diagram for the GS450h

It's a 2007 (57) SE(ML) - silver. I'll put some pics up if it ever stops raining! The performance is just mental - makes me grin everytime - I think there's something about the CVT that makes it "sound" even faster if that makes sense - any way you look at it, something that size that does 0-60 in under 6 seconds is pretty quick!! Wiring in the Road Angel was one of the first jobs!! 6 months on Do you still feel the same ...i am just changing my Is250 for an SE-L 2008

This is probably my last post on the IS250 part of the forum. I have just traded in my baby for a GS450H SE-L 2 years younger than my IS250 which i have owned from new .So at last have reached the car I have wanted for a few years now . hope to pop back here the odd time to read Ahmed s post and see if he has added a "transporter room" to his Lex what a guy "beam me up" .all the best, Nick

Instrument cluster is not that hard to remove but I would advise caution taking your old one apart .I have worked extensively on these units and it would be easy to damage .I would try and get a hold of a spare one from salvage /scrap etc as these units cost about £1500 to buy .If you go down this road I can synchronise your odometer to your own reading.

sorry for late reply, been quite busy havent had time to check back on here. the chrome outer bezel doesnt match up to the grille at all. the grille design is completely different. what i'm going to be attempting to do is use my existing grille and trim it out with a dremel to make a surround and then make the isf grille fit into that surround. this then should fit into the chrome bezel Ok Will you have enough depth in the new squiggly to fit into your origional surround when you dremel it out????

How does your Chrome outer bezel match up to new grill...ie if you cut to lugs from isf can the centre be place in the bezel???? I was thinking you could join the two together. are any of the fitment lugs /holes in the same position?????You will of course video all for u tube ........yes Well ahmed ........??????????????? any answers??????

I guess so, but I wasn't a particular fan of the original either, especially when the first reviews accused the grille design as making the car look Korean. I now think the lines of the original grille suit the styling, and haven't really seen anything better to replace it. The alloy billet grille available in the USA is certainly different, but not to my taste either. The 'F' design is different, but IMO that's all you can say for it. Yes definitely personal taste !!! I prefer the isf grill centre but in my opinion painting the chrome effect bezel gives the car a "add on look" if you know what i mean. The standard isf /sport grill on the other hand looks like it was meant from manufacture!

Shaking at that speed is usually caused by lack of balancing on the REAR wheels Make shure they are balanced properly .Some garages only do the front !!!!cowboys!!!
