  1. Nice one mate B) cant wait to see the pics
  2. wow £10k for an SC I could cry, shouldnt have left mine sitting in the garage for 6 years Def. a buyers market.
  3. "What else should i be looking for? " Not much really, 02 sensors, boot gas shocks, stone chips Japanese cars have soft paint.
  4. Seems alot of miles unless its real cheap. Ive not had the timing belt done as Ive only got 15k on mine so no idea on the price. Theres a 2003 with 36k that looks like it will go cheap http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2003-LEXUS-SC430-AUT...id=p3286.c0.m14
  5. Kewl your gonna love that mod really turns heads :)
  6. Yep a very small facelift biggest difference is the addition of the 6 speed gearbox and new headlights.
  7. I have the original Luxlink and it does lack some of the features of the later one. TBH im happy just to open and close the top remotely so I wont go through with the trouble of importing in a newer one and refitting. Im pretty sure the new one does one touch open/close and rear quarter window opening/closing but it wont allow you to operate the roof at speeds over 5mph.
  8. NP I get about 2000 emails per day and there on my business email addy which is a real PITA
  9. hahaha well I deliberately didnt do that to stop him getting spammed and then having to close his email account Yep thats the one :D
  10. Try steve at luxurymotorworks dot com
  11. The price sounds right with the wings, but those wings are expensive. 45% of the total price is on the wings. The Wald wings where a later addition that where not available when I bought my kit. Also worth noting you cant slam the car with the Wald kit as the kit is very low specially on the front.
  12. Ive not heard of that exhaust problem on the SC430. Thats the bodykit I have £4700 seems a bit expensive, mine was about £2500 supplied fitted and painted. Unless your price also includes the front wings (which I dont have) as I think those are about £1500 on top. So that would make it about right. I would avoid springs in favour of coilovers but if you do want to go springs then try the Tein S. But dont buy the ones on eBay as they are knockoffs. "Can i get springs in the UK?" Try TDI http://www.tdi-plc.com/catalog/index.php?c..._2532_2533_2544
  13. If you look under an SC you will see the pipes are flattened in the middle so the OEM exhaust does restrict alot, plus I had bigger pipes and the rear silencer removed. The car sounds like a V8 now :winky:
  14. Shame I threw my OEM exhaust out, I would have given you that FOC. Anyway good luck with what ever you buy.
  15. Damn thats a shame, so it would fail on those 20" wheels and the quad exhaust.
  16. WOW thats a very nice SC :winky: Im wondering if thats the first of the facelift ones or if its been changed by the previous owner. New bumpers, tail lamps etc. Guess it wont have the new gearbox though. Looks like the suspension has been sorted, coilovers? Could be a Wald body kit, toms rear bumper? toms quad exhaust? Bigger/better pics needed :winky: I would buy that :D
  17. You can get the black pearl emblems here http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=1720 The JDM yellow fog lights dont actually use yellow bulbs they have normal bulbs with a yellow film behind the glass. Of course probs easier to source yellow bulbs for the fog lights. You might be able to do it just turning the wheel in and pulling out the wheel liner if you have nimble/small hands.
  18. Yep def. Ditch the run flats. If you go bigger like 20" then consider putting coilovers in. Big wheels and a drop looks good :) Also you can put in the Daizen sway bars depends how far you want to go.
  19. Umm I dont really have anythng much in mine.. I have the 12v ciggy lighter at the front and theres the flap at the back that lifts up for the emergency boot release.
  20. Still a bit of a novice at the cleaning game, just bought a Karcher PW and snow foam for next time. Hosed the car down then did the two bucket method with Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner with my Megs lambswool mitt. Clayed the car with megs clay and megs QD although it was pretty good mainly water marks A little bit of Autoglym tar remover Then with some Megs foam applicator pads I tried some paint correction by hand with a combination of Megs ScratchX Autoglym Super Resin Polish Megs Deep Crystal Paint Restorer Although I managed to take down alot of deeper scratches and some swirls paintwork was still very lightly swirled. I will maybe later invest in a Megs G220 and have a proper crack at paint correction. But it is very light the sun never really came out and I couldnt see anything much. So something I will need to tackle in a well lit garage. Then went over with Megs Deep Crystal Polish followed by 3 coats of Megs Deep Crystal Carnauba wax. Megs 100% cotten towels used and the wax polished off with a Megs microfibre cloth. Elsewhere Megs leather cleaner for interior, Autoglym glass cleaner, some Connolly's leather food and about 3 coats of Megs quick spray wax applied to the wheels. Probs some I forgot :D
  21. Gave the car a good clean about 10 hours worth So took a load of pictures :)
