Wanted LS600

Yes nearly all cars have gone up in value but the fact they don't make the 600 anymore only only makes it more attractive IMO. I know some prefer it over the 500. (Ive not driven one to compare so cant comment) -
Update I disconnected the battery and recharged for a few hours. Light was still on. After driving the car for an hour this light went away. The clock is now showing the correct time and it seems to drive a bit smoother. I'm over the moon obviously. I would recommend this simple technique before trying to reset with Techstream or take to the dealer for an expensive inspection

Thank you for this manual. I know that the radar units are under the rear bumper but I hear that they are linked to parking sensors hence trying to clean them-didnt work. I posted the screenshots below when turning ignition on. Will disconnecting battery or maybe try clearing the fault using techstream?

I tried a Blu-Ray disc in the front console and it didn't work!!! I had the parking brake on and in park (Rear one works fine) Can users confirm that they can load a blu-ray disc or DVD-A for sound? Surely the USB is of similar quality to old fashioned 3.5 Line in audio in or does the analogue pre perform better Also has anyone had success playing a USB movie file using front console AVI/MP4 etc

When I got this car I wasn't impressed by the audio and just accepted that it is what it is. So yesterday I checked on other forums and other owners reported the same. Sometimes it was a genuine problem blown power amp etc. One post suggested that all the sound enhancements be switched off surround sound and most importantly to switch off the EQ on your source. Well I did this and there was a definite improvement. Just wondered if anyone else tried this with their ML system

Nissan Leaf - anyone driven or own one?

I 100% recommend a Leaf Tekna as long as you know the range in the winter is circa 60 miles. The acceleration is superb. It is quieter at speeds lower than 50 than my LS600. The ability to defrost whilst you are having breakfast is really good. Drives like a prestige car. Servicing is just the brakes. Never broke down. Had it on a two year lease and sorry to see it go. Unfortunately I believe the build quality will drop as they get more competitive. Buy one & happy to answer any questions on it -
This is interesting what you say about the 430 engine being smoother. Mine makes a growl first 2 seconds of start up but very quiet afterwards. Let us know if you do the control arms because I thought mine might have needed it. My Lexus guy checked them reckoned they are fine but just as you noticed on yours my steering needs alignment as well so I may have the same issue. Mines 113k but facelift model so the control arms are meant to be an updated longer lasting version. Its a heavy car so maybe it would benefit from them being changed. I got to say on a perfect road ride quality is good I wouldn't say RR/Bentley level. I feel every part of a british road when driving. I believe the older pre facelift models may well ride better than 2013 onwards due to this control arm problem. I also hear that the 400/430 was really smooth. Doesn't detract that this car has a certain character that is missing from todays cars as it feels so well made, refined and solid feel. Another owner I spoke to believes this is a better made car than the LS500 that is out now!! Like you I love the individual seat air con and the blu ray in the back & like you I think a lot to do with this car is because I'm getting old too. I thought this was a temporary car but I'm not thinking of selling for a long time. Well done on your astute purchase
