  1. Hi SSUR Great news you have this taken care of. Ive got similar issue. What year is your car to get this under warranty? Mine is 2013
  2. I had to put mine on a longer charge before the suspension started working correctly. I did a battery recondition as well. Sometimes takes 10-20 miles of driving to work
  3. Yes nearly all cars have gone up in value but the fact they don't make the 600 anymore only only makes it more attractive IMO. I know some prefer it over the 500. (Ive not driven one to compare so cant comment)
  4. Update I disconnected the battery and recharged for a few hours. Light was still on. After driving the car for an hour this light went away. The clock is now showing the correct time and it seems to drive a bit smoother. I'm over the moon obviously. I would recommend this simple technique before trying to reset with Techstream or take to the dealer for an expensive inspection
  5. Thank you Steve I tried charging the battery up see if that would stop it happening. (it didnt) but my clock is now giving the correct time quite pleased by that. Its inevitable its one of these sensors isnt it so I need to book in to someone to get this sorted
  6. I did have a very low impact parking bump a few months ago barely took any paint off. I think this could well be the culprit if the sensor has worked loose in some way. Strange if so cos bumper shock in everyday use would cause this alot
  7. Not sure age but I will check battery health tomorrow. This BSM fault did happen about 8-9 months ago but went out immediately might well be weak/old battery. I so hope its not a sensor fail as thats bumper off and recalibrate
  8. Thank you for this manual. I know that the radar units are under the rear bumper but I hear that they are linked to parking sensors hence trying to clean them-didnt work. I posted the screenshots below when turning ignition on. Will disconnecting battery or maybe try clearing the fault using techstream?
  9. Just like that. The BSM light came on my 2013 LS600. Goes out if you deactivate the BSM button of course. Tried wiping the sensors as suggested. Any other tips or is this Lexus 'lets think of the most expensive way to fix' dealership time?
  10. I tried a Blu-Ray disc in the front console and it didn't work!!! I had the parking brake on and in park (Rear one works fine) Can users confirm that they can load a blu-ray disc or DVD-A for sound? Surely the USB is of similar quality to old fashioned 3.5 Line in audio in or does the analogue pre perform better Also has anyone had success playing a USB movie file using front console AVI/MP4 etc
  11. When I got this car I wasn't impressed by the audio and just accepted that it is what it is. So yesterday I checked on other forums and other owners reported the same. Sometimes it was a genuine problem blown power amp etc. One post suggested that all the sound enhancements be switched off surround sound and most importantly to switch off the EQ on your source. Well I did this and there was a definite improvement. Just wondered if anyone else tried this with their ML system
  12. I 100% recommend a Leaf Tekna as long as you know the range in the winter is circa 60 miles. The acceleration is superb. It is quieter at speeds lower than 50 than my LS600. The ability to defrost whilst you are having breakfast is really good. Drives like a prestige car. Servicing is just the brakes. Never broke down. Had it on a two year lease and sorry to see it go. Unfortunately I believe the build quality will drop as they get more competitive. Buy one & happy to answer any questions on it
  13. They did a 60k service Roy which inc replace fluids for front/rear boxes and spark plugs & Hybrid check. Must admit I like the reassurance that this has been done. Clean bill of health according to service manager after he test drove it
  14. Had major service at Lexus today yep it was painful. I had 4WD alignment done and I think it makes a slight difference
  15. This is interesting what you say about the 430 engine being smoother. Mine makes a growl first 2 seconds of start up but very quiet afterwards. Let us know if you do the control arms because I thought mine might have needed it. My Lexus guy checked them reckoned they are fine but just as you noticed on yours my steering needs alignment as well so I may have the same issue. Mines 113k but facelift model so the control arms are meant to be an updated longer lasting version. Its a heavy car so maybe it would benefit from them being changed. I got to say on a perfect road ride quality is good I wouldn't say RR/Bentley level. I feel every part of a british road when driving. I believe the older pre facelift models may well ride better than 2013 onwards due to this control arm problem. I also hear that the 400/430 was really smooth. Doesn't detract that this car has a certain character that is missing from todays cars as it feels so well made, refined and solid feel. Another owner I spoke to believes this is a better made car than the LS500 that is out now!! Like you I love the individual seat air con and the blu ray in the back & like you I think a lot to do with this car is because I'm getting old too. I thought this was a temporary car but I'm not thinking of selling for a long time. Well done on your astute purchase
  16. Nice looking car. Be surprised if control arms had gone on that mileage but maybe the rubber has just aged! What is the drive like compared to your previous cars ?
  17. That is one of the most amusing posts I've read this year. One of those could bankrupt a Premier division footballer. It will never be out of the shop
  18. I took my LS600 to Dave at Lex-tek to change the nsf air strut part was £775. Does ride better but am sure the other one will go next few thousand miles. Good guy is Dave and his charge was very reasonable.
  19. Hi Malc Hope you well. I personally never use Timpsons very overpriced. Wanted to charge me £8 for a yale key. The block didnt seem bothered when I said I will let him know. £3 down the road. I buy a pack of allsorted watch batteries from pound shop takes about minute to do or order off ebay
  20. You little beauty. Will speak to Autoglass see if they will attempt this many thanks David
