  1. ouch! Glad to hear it's all ok again.
  2. I did exactly the same with a Corolla, same setup. Struggled for ages, tried washing up liquid but still no joy. I found a bottle of Tri-flo with teflon in the shed, super slippery and the rubber slipped over the white part easily.
  3. Do you still have to take breathalyzer test kits?
  4. Difficult to tell without actually seeing one, but how large is the front unit? Does it obscure the windscreen much?
  5. not just me then .... 😁
  6. They look great but just wondering how easy it will be to remove them? Maybe use a little grease when installing?
  7. Sorry to sound dim but are you saying that any UX with a touchscreen is free from potential CANBUS theft?
  8. I received the same message on MyToyota app, (I have a Toyota) the next day it was working fine. So can only assume a similar hiccup with the app? Hope you are not still searching for your vehicle!
  9. Blimey,you must have a huge table! 🤣
  10. Then surely this discussion has come full circle, it's the CamBus issue that needs to be addressed first?
  11. Also, when zooming in on the one on the right, it says 'madeinchna' no i in China. Unless it's my eyesight!
  12. So, presumably this 'tracker' tracks the vehicle once stolen but doesn't deal with the CanBus issue? Horse and stable door come to mind ... unless I'm missing the point?
  13. Is the vehicle still locked whilst this is occurring?
  14. Agreed. Whilst an electronic version is fine away from the vehicle I would much rather have a printed copy when sitting in it, exploring all the options. A laptop is too cumbersome and a mobile screen too small. Just my opinion, I'm sure others will disagree!
  15. auto glym bumper and trim gel work well for me.
  16. Thanks Len, I appreciate your sensible and constructive reply.
  17. I have always wanted a Lexus but until recently I could not warrant buying one. I looked at a CT, but did not relish returning to the vehicle and finding the CAT missing. So then I switched my search to the UX. Despite me having to pay a lot more money after part exchanging my current vehicle, despite the servicing being more expensive, despite delivering worse MPG than my current car, even despite having to pay an additional tax surcharge of £390 per year .. even though the cost to me is below £30,000, I was still tempted. However, I am not prepared to risk the car being stolen due to the CANbus issue. Will I ever be able to own a Lexus and be confident all of it will still be present after parking it?
  18. so what did you decide?
  19. I was told parking in a garage was more of a risk than a driveway as you may hit a wall whilst parking!
  20. I'd go for 'young at heart.' If you can't have what you like now, then when?
  21. It sounds like a 'head or heart' thing. Just going by the figures, especially the difference in the insurance group, head says Yaris Cross. BUT the Lexus name and quality, I expect the heart and LBX will win. Best of luck, whatever your choice.
  22. Got to be worth a try ...
