  1. A few images from the weekends trip to Brecon to see family....
  2. Has it got the brake shim kit installed? Lexus multi pots sound horrific without the proper shim kit installed, to the point where some places call it the "anti squeel kit". Worth getting them to check it over.
  3. Completely agree. My radiator showed signs of age but looked healthy, but it's the inside corrosion you don't see. I'm going to break my old rad down tonight to see if there is any corrosion.
  4. All done. Took 2 hours in total, which the GS radiator took. Thanks for the advice @mr_s81 I took the fans off before removing the radiator, and it made it an easier job in regards to space as well as not having to lay the new rad down on the floor to attach the fans. All in all it went really well. Always nervous about that first moment you fire it up and try to bleed the system, but it looks as though it's all gone OK. Test drive shortly. Thanks all.
  5. Thank you. Mine is a 2010 so hopefully those issues were addressed.
  6. Apologies for digging up an old thread, but I am about to carry out the rad change on my F. I have one question as the rest of the swap is very similar to the GS. Is it necessary to drill out the rivnuts? Will the old fan not just mate up to the new rad? The GS is a straight swap with no redrilling or tapping, so I'd expect the ISF to be similar. So just asking if this was for personal preference rather than required? Thank you.
  7. I looked at XFR's before the ISF. So much power and absolute animals, but I joined up to the forums and was put off by the niggling electrical issues.
  8. They're not too bad. No issues with leaks or moisture in the lights, but the car sits in the garage. They're a good stop gap until I find OEM replacements. My old lights were crazing up so I removed them to work on sorting the lenses out.
  9. Following this thread intently. I currently have the Vland headlights as an interim until I can get my hands of facelift ones. I have not yet found anywhere that sells the facelift headlights and have decided that no best option would be to look on Ebay for either a pair for sale or a late model IS being broken.
  10. Be sure to get some images up when you're back. It's on my list of to-do's!
  11. It's a forum where people with different opinions and viewpoints come together to discuss them. Just in the same way you will reply to this comment with your own justification.... I don't have an SUV or own one, the one I am discussing is my partners. I am not justifying its purchase because it was purchased solely by her. I am only highlighting why it was purchased and the needs and wants of the person buying it. I'm surprised I am having to explain this but one should never assume intelligence or the understanding of others. Anyway.....It's clear that there is a bias against SUV's by some and a frustration because there are more and more on the market, but that I am affraid is something those frustrated are just going to have to get over. Needs and wants change often in this day and age and I certainly would never have the audacity to question someone's purchase because of my own views. But the world is generally an unhappier place nowadays so the feeling of self importance is greater than the need to understand that some people are just different. Being that my partner is a senior global marketing manager I will let her know that the reason she has the car she does is purely down to marketing, and that she doesn't really want it. She'll appreciate the humour in that as do I just reading some of the replies.
  12. It's not a personal attack by any means, I am perfectly happy with my place in this world and very secure in myself, but as much as you have replies for the reasons why my other half prefers SUV's, these are ultimately your views, which aren't the same as my partner. I also never stated the SUV she purchased which does tick the boxes stated above and is bigger than a UX. With a poorly hip, an SUV with the seat sitting just at the right height enables her to get in and out with ease, my ISF and any saloondoes not offer this. The car in questions is also considerably bigger than my ISF so it is bigger for the family and as for driving position on the road, higher is better for some. I drive a fire engine for a living and I know exactly why I higher seating position can be more favourable to some, of which she is one of those that likes to sit higher. As I say, it's all personal preference. I own an ISF which drinks petrol, something of which most would dislike, it also has ridiculously high VED which again, some would dislike, but we buy the cars we want for ourselves and our own needs. Implying that people buy cars but they ultimately don't know what it is they want, is a bit of a stretch in your point, because that would imply justifying your own choice in a car is useless as you too don't know what you want
  13. The mrs opted for an SUV for these reasons. Easy to get in and out, better driving position on the road, more space for the family and because she wanted one. There are a lot of people that like SUV's. I guess it's personal choice.
  14. I love that people express their feelings through cars and wish to modify them. Everyone is different and I have more respect for those that modify and love their car, than those that don't look after their car and/or drive round oblivious to the state of it. Most owners I know that VIP/modify their cars are more credible and knowledgeable, than someone who 'hopes' they get through an MOT and palms it off to dealers to service.
  15. It was their regular petrol. It just vanished after a few days of driving. I've been tempted to try Momentum as it's supplied at my local Tesco.

    As in title please. Thanks.
  17. Only ever put V-Power in the F, for no other reason than the previous owner doing it. I can afford it and don't use the car daily so I never really think about it. Dabbled with all fuel types back in the day, but only ever noticed the difference once, where my old Honda destroyed a full tank of Tesco fuel in a matter of days. Never went back there lol!
  18. Hey buddy, thank you. I've got in touch with them, awaiting a reply. Fingers crossed they have one as I cannot find one for the life of me lol.
  19. With the almost inevitable death of the V8 I'm not sure what I could possibly want after my ISF. Nothing out there takes my fancy and the new styling of Lexus vehicles doesn't float my boat either. Time will tell and for the time being I'll be driving what I have until I cannot afford to anymore. If I could dream up a vehicle I would love Lexus to do something audacious and release an SUV akin to the Track Hawk. A mental supercharged V8 would make me change my mind lol.
  20. The problem being that our cars are very easy to steal meaning anyone could do it. Yes the pros may not, but we live in a world where you don't have to be a pro to sit in a car park and clone a key when someone locks their car. I like the idea that the Pandora system will stop most of the 'wannabe' thieves. If someone really wants your car they'll take it, but there's nothing wrong with peace of mind and other than a horrendous steering lock, immobilising the car from key cloning would make me feel happier when the car isn't in the garage or safe at work. It only takes one idiot to ruin your day and they're out there lol.
  21. Thank you. I've had a look at the Pandora alarms but there's no one local to me that fits them and I'd prefer to travel to someone who knows the car. Hampshire isn't a million miles away.
  22. Hello all, Looking to revert my intake from Takeda back to OEM. I did however buy my car with the Takeda intake fitted so never had an OEM intake to start with. Where could I get an OEM intake box from? I'm assuming they'd be an arm and a leg from Lexus, so my other option was selling my Takeda intake to someone who wants to move from OEM, and then obtaining their OEM box in the sale? Any suggestions people? Thank you.
  23. Thank you. Everything is fine MOT wise which is important to me. I love the Vlands, I love the LED headlights and the Lexus swoosh/tick. I wasn't sure I'd like them but they've really grown on me.
