I had this problem with my 60 plate 450H RX, fortunately i had a main dealer warrenty which covered the problem. However there is a place in Cheltenham/Gloucester (see you tube/Facebook) which will replace the bearings for a much better price. I believe that you can either remove the top plate yourself and send them or book the car in for the day and I think he has a courtesey car available to explore the local area while your car is being fixed.

It is funny that you mentioned Lexus Woodford in relation to your service/oil change. I contacted them for a yearly service on my RX450H and the price was over £100 dearer that the dealer whom i purchased the car from. So I took the vehicle back to Lexus Sidcup, I know that it is a way from my home but it was worth it, great service and customer focused. I mentioned this to Lexus Sidcup and they said that the servicing should be the same price. Interesting!!!

Definately, I have noticed that between fill ups on my RX450H the distance is between 50 to 70 miles less. Also about the time that the E10 fuel was introduced there was a fuel crises was this due to the fact that the Petrol companies had loads of the old E5 fuel over and wanted to get rid of it.

Hi Ronan are you aware of the Lexus 10year plus extended warrenty, it covers cars up to 15 year old with less than 150000 miles. It includes the Lexus roadside assistance, howevr you do have to have your car serviced by Lexus. I don't know if it is available in Ireland

After seeing Phils original post regarding the 10 year plus extended warranty i have just taken out one for my 60 plate 450H. I noticed that it was stated that the roadside recovery was included however was this sent to you seperately as i can find no mention of it in the contract. It seems good value.

I wonder if anybody can let me know if the fuel consumption on my Series 3 RX450H is about 2 to 3 mpg worse in this cold weather. Is this a general trait at this time of year ?

Being a LGV driver for over 40 years I am still amazed what cyclists and pedestrians do on a daily basis putting their lives at risk i have no issues with cyclists however I feel that they should have some form of registration scheme and mandatory third party insurance to drive on the road. In the new Highway code it seems that they will have the right of way granted to them by the government without any train of thought process in this issue. I still don't think that this will stop them jumping red lights and riding 2 or 3 a breast without a thought for other motorists. If there is a cycle lane then it should be mandatory for cyclists to use it without exception. We can only wait and see the outcome of these new regulations and the possible fines and penalties imposed with the amount of CCTV about. It would be interesting to see the statistics regarding accidents on the reduction to 20mph in some areas.

The only thing I notice is when the ACC disengages and the car slows, the radar ready sign appears on the dash. However I cant resume, I have to reset the speed.

I have recently got my car back from a main dealer after having a air suspension strut replaced. I have noticed that the ACC (adaptive cruise control) keeps dropping out for no apparent reason. Have any other members had this problem.

Many Thanks I know that the Multimedia is not covered however with Air Suspension on the vehicle and my recent repair it seems prudent to take it out. Another thing that i noticed with my recent service is that my local dealer at Woodford quoted me a dearer price that the dealer at Sidcup and speaking to the service manager at Sidcup he said that it should be the same price. the money I saved it was worth the 30 mile drive.

I have just have my car serviced and MOT'd at Lexus Sidcup, MOT failed on top suspension plate bearing. Luckily I had a Lexus approved car warrenty and this was replaced FOC under this,I also gained a 10 per cent Lexus Club discount. I have just been given a cost for the 10 year plus extended warrenty at £546-00 for 12 months @ 10 interest free payments of £54-60 for a RX450H 2010 including breakdown cover. This is really a no brainer to take out for extended peace and mind.

When i move off i am getting a creaking noise from it seems the o/side front suspension the noise is also there when manoeuvring at low speeds. Any possible ideas.

When I selected reverse this morning I notice that some of the grid pattern on the screen is missing. Does anyone have any idea of a solution please.

Yes the door has dropped and the swaythe line is out

I have just had the drivers seat repaired and i have noticed that the drivers door swathe lines do not match up. I am not sure if they would have to remove the door to remove the seat for repair but is it easy to realign the door by loosening off the hinge bolts or is it a more complicated operation

When using the cruise I notice that you can only increase the speed in 5mph increments, is there any way that this can be changed to 1mph increments

Good afternoon I have just purchased A RX450 Premium and would like to know if it is possible to programme the key fob so that it only opens the vehicle on the presssing of the buttons on the fob instead of being near to the vehicle
