I guess the point is that £500 of 20,000 customer orders is 10 Million pounds in the bank for Lexus. While customers are stuck with the delivery dates being postponed endlessly while manufacturers are using that bandwagon to even push up the prices. While the global issues is real, manufacturers do not have to take orders, give dates that they have no intention of fulfilling and leave customers stranded. It is easier to defend the manufacturers when your car is on your driveway, much less for those who are in limbo on when or whether that order will ever arrive. Mind you for those with part exchange, the value of the cars have also taken a hit, so you can't just ask for your deposit and leave after 5 months. As you will leave shortfall, so you are effectively held bound to that order. Not pointing a finger at no one but laying it out just as it.

Er-minio - Sounds like you one of the very first in UK to collect 350H Fsport. When did you order and from what dealership? Also, are you able to post some pictures? Thanks in advanceand hope you are enjoying the ride apart from the wireless charger. On that, I have seen on other forum that some people bought lexus branded non slip mat for that area which reduces the shifting. Not sure the impact on charging time. 🤔

Well I give up. But your order is December and in build stage, mine is way back and still order in progress. The only difference I can see is that yours is 450h FSPORT and mine is 350h FSPORT.

Looking at it again, if you take out the vowels and work with consonants, and factor in when the dealer submitted the order, it matches perfectly.

I did, mine is KM7150. My thoughts looking at above, it seems the order build code is cracked. But quite a gap between G - Sept and M - Oct. Also, 350H and 450H seem to have different delivery schedules.

Sorry Cabby, my current car is not lexus but I had another vehicle brand on order which I showed them. So it is either that or Lexus? So it pushed them to move but not by much. I do regret that as I could have taken delivery of that vehicle now as my lexus order is delayed by 3 months.

I would think adaptive suspension and dampers are optional extras on most mid size luxury vehicles, and so limited to FSPORT. I did not get a penny discount but got almost £2000 dealer add ons which include tyre and wheel cover. Not sure what that means but could help re. Tyres.

Surprisingly, they said if I put in an order for 450h last Saturday, it will arrive in May 2022. I was left speechless and very confused. What is it about 350H? Must be demand.

Expected mine March 2022, called the dealer for something else, late January, they decided to check progress and was told May. Finally, went for test drive to be informed early June. I am afraid to call or go in there again as it may end up December 2022 at this rate. Goodness grief.

I was at the dealer today for tests drive of both 350h Takumi and 450H Fsport. Highly impressed with both, lovely cars to drive, but not with the sound systems - both ML and Premium. Maybe, its the factory settings. Dealer said that another £1500 increase across all NX models is on the way shortly. So those undecided, they need to act fast. It seems the demand for NX is skyrocket at present

Beginning to look positive by the comments. My dealer booked me for a test drive 02/02/2022 (auspicious date). They are getting the demonstrator vehicle Friday next week, register it and long queues of customers waiting for a spin.

I wonder what they mean by alternatives to semi conductors. Positive or negative? Positive if it reduces over reliance and provides cheaper, quicker to produce, more effective and stable alternatives. Negatives? Your guess?

Lots of talk about this car and still no delivery to any UK customer. All I hear is, build complete, at sea, on the ship, at the port and yet....nothing. Hope we get it someday.

Ordered same spec but not from Cambridge. Spoke to my dealer who still insists on March delivery as planned but if missed will roll into May (worst case scenario). Seems to be the same message. On a different note, a number of people who received the first NX orders are reporting problems with tailgate closure, memory seat adjustments, battery depletion and alarm going off randomly. All points to software problems. I would rather hope they delay my build and sort this out before build and delivery.

I guess you answered the question in your last 2 paragraph - 'why buy a 40k plus car if you are worried about £30 a month tax', maybe they do!! why not!!. We all worry about a lot of things. By the way, £30 a month tax - super tax - not sure that comes close to any tax I know or pay for - sounds like pure exaggeration. Most people are not super rich or even wealthy by any means but they spend more than that amount a month on just coffee from Starbucks or Greggs. Not to mention Cigs and Pubs. You and I are not here to manage other people's finances. Everyone to their own.
