  1. Then add, frozen door handles; constantly disconnecting and connecting wireless charger; Bluetooth that you have to wait ages to reconnect every time you start the car; and user profile that you have to log back in every few weeks. None of these with my old 68 reg Nissan Qashqai, owned from new. Well, still love the car nonetheless and will keep for the next year or two and decide.
  2. For such a lovely car and ride, the squeaks from the brakes drives me crazy. Worse when you are in long slow traffic. Several trips to the dealer and the response is the same - normal for most lexus cars. They even offered to take any car on the lot out for a drive and the same drive. I wonder why I did not notice it with all the test drive I did before buying the car. I now put the music on to drown it out, till recent, heard another squeaking over road bumps. Back to the dealer and now told it is likely to be front suspension rubber bushings. For a car barely two months old and less than 2000 miles on the clock, that I have so far driven as if I am on eggshells, it is really disappointing. I guess this is what happens when they build cars and leave them in parking lots for months while waiting for spares, everything rusted up and falling apart. So much of Lexus 5 star diamond plated reliability. Not sure how long I will have to wait for parts to arrive. Nonetheless, hats off to the dealership as they have been so helpful and supportive
  3. Same here, could not get in this morning. Managed to get one passenger door open to push out the driver side. Drove off, stopped at Starbucks and could not get back in. I bet people nearby who saw me fumbling with the doors must have thought 'a car theft is unfolding'.
  4. Same with me, they declined, paid it off via my bank. I feel better with no PCP. Collected my car yesterday.
  5. So based on the above calculations, anybody saying this is an underwriters call must be really uninformed. Sneaky at best, ridiculous and petty at worst. I understand that only orders placed last year is affected, so 121 cars or less, if I remember correctly.
  6. Definitely, worrying😟. Lexus Finance reneging on 3.9% agreed in writing last year. Based on my calculations with dealer, car appreciated by about 5000 and Lexus finance increase is about 5000. So in effect, I buy the car at today's price at 3.9%. Very unhelpful but dealer has been fantastic in reaching out. Lexus image and reputation at present is really questionable but I am hopeful they will work it out as dealer promised. But until then, car is stuck at dealers.
  7. Monday pick up cancelled. All terms agreed except finance. The saga continues.....
  8. Finally arrived, picking up Monday if all goes to plan.
  9. Similar to getting a mortgage offer from a bank pursuant to exchange of contracts and the bank withdraws the offer at exchange. They can at the fine print but they rarely do unless your financial circumstances have drastically changed to the point you can no longer afford the mortgage.
  10. That is true to a point. If the seller knowing what is in the fine print offer you a sale agreement/contract with a price protection guarantee, it is only fair that they honour that guarantee and not playing 'ducking and diving. One would expect that from Lexus of all brands.
  11. I insisted on having the price protection agreement in writing. Not a smart move by Lexus, after all the delays and customers who stood by them.
  12. The world of lexus and automobiles worldwide. Dealers used to chase customers, now customers are chasing Dealers. Members....soon to be delivered.... knowing my luck so far....the car may fall off the trailer on the way. Although, glad, it survived the journey from Japan to UK, if that is true.
  13. Thanks Andy, This is really helpful. There seems to be a number of concerns on dealer installed paint protection. I wonder if anyone knows any trusted and reliable detailer around Crawley, Redhill, Reigate or Gatwick area.
  14. Car in transit but have three questions in case any one has any answers. 1. Paid for SUPAGUARD but got spec sheet from the factory saying 'paint protection wax and film' done at the factory. I thought this is dealer option. Any idea? 2. Service plan: any idea how much this cost from Lexus these days? 3. Insurance: is Lexus Insurance competitively priced? Any answers will be most appreciated.
  15. Well, are you 100% sure it was on Viking Adventure and not on Grand Phoenix that arrived few days ago? Also, you are still ahead of some others who ordered the same spec weeks before you, so some positive news. Hope it moves swiftly to your dealership without any further delays.
  16. All Toyota/Lexus cars are worth their value. I ordered a Rav 4 in May 2022. Dealer told me Jan 2023 and I told him 'probable June 2023 but unlikely'.
  17. Well, a month or so ago, dealers could not hide the deception anymore as some people, a month or so ago were already experiencing delays of more than 12 months, having ordered at launch in September 2021. My own dealer tried that with by stating if I ordered a month ago, it will be 12 months delay, I asked him how long did he think I have waited. A typical example of reading from a script.
  18. I am sure some dealers somewhere will still be taking orders and giving misleading ETAs. I have a feeling they knew about this way back in December/January 2021 when the first orders were meant to hit the market but failed to be upfront with customers. Slipped to March, June, September.
  19. Interesting. The spec list attached does mention cornering light and sequential indicators. I checked the VIN I got from dealer last week and pull the spec list matched to the VIN, from Lexus website and both are there but missing active sound control. NX350H FSPORT. It all seem hit and miss. On another note, Viking Adventure sailing into Bristol port tomorrow morning. I wonder who the lucky ones are. 210927M-Equip-List-1 (1) (1).pdf
