  1. My contribution 🙂 Very similar to Tony’s @Eggie result, even the fuel price! I’d say cold weather is the main factor, especially if you do a lot of short trips. In my experience the ecu constantly keeps the engine on to warm up but the problem with a short trip is that you spend the entire journey warming up the system, but misses out on the benefit of a warmed up hybrid system as you arrive at the destination. Oh it doesn’t like going up hill either, when I do the morning train station run in the winter, going slightly uphill it returns about 25mpg! With the return trip taken into account it’ll average at about 40mpg. That said I do regularly get 60+ mpg driving from central London to Richmond, about 15 miles. Especially in the mild weather we have now. Overall I’m very impressed with the 350h which regularly exceeds Lexus claim of 44-47mpg! Never had a car outperform the manufacturer’s claimed figure, let alone a 2 tonne suv. Cheers Lok
  2. Hi Charlie, Mine is a 350h with preimum pack too, I drive between Richmond Park and zone1/2 a few times a week so experienced the same slighly disappointing mpg when in very heavy traffic in/around central london. My experience is that there is a very specific condition where the 350h excels in terms of mpg, not too fast and not too slow, with a reasonable amount stop and go so the regen brakes can recharge the battery, and ideal ambient temperture of late teens - 20s. I regularly get around 60mpg from zone 1/2 to Richmond, when the condiotion is similar to above; a good 15 miles trip in the usual London traffic. (I had 76mpg once over 15 ish miles on a peaceful afternoon from Euston to Richmond!) It doesn't like very heavy or constantly slow traffic in the 20 zone, so London zone 1 in other words. Where regen brakes couldn't do much and worst of all, when the traction battery runs low enough for the engine to fire up and charge it while you're stationary in traffic, this really hurts the mpg in my experience over the last 8 months. Cold weather obviously hurts mpg, especially when on short trips where almost the entire trip is spent on warming up the engine/cabin as quickly as possible, you then arrive at your destination before or just after this phase is over, ending up with a rubbish mpg. Your mpg in central London over the last 2 months is probably in the wrost condition you can ever throw your NX in, low temp, short/slow trips and new engine... I'm sure as we approach summer you will see more impressive mpg to come. On a side note I'm surprised to hear that you only collected in March when you placed your order in Nov-21. I believe we have identical specs bar the colour(350h with premium pack with link pro screen), I ordered after xmas Dec-21, and the car was ready for collection mid Aug-22. Did you order from Lexus Edgware Road out of interest? All things considered, I feel the NX is a fine car, and even with the mpg at its worst, is still a respectable mpg for the size and comfort that the NX is, I trust most members here would agree. Regards Lok
  3. Very interesting and glad to hear your positive experience Justin, just out of interest which dealer was it that provided such great service? I'm asking because I see your location as Surrey and your dealer might be within my reach, and I know I'd rather travel a little bit further for a good dealer! Many thanks! Lok
  4. Just to add I experienced the same too this morning, except it's all 4 doors in my case... Warm water didn't work (or maybe not enough), eventually my left rear door which is the closest door to an outdoor light that stayed on all night worked, presumably it was the least frozen thanks to the heat from the light? Then had to climb past a bulky car seat to open the driver door from inside... Drove for over an hour to work to find that they're still frozen! Despite the car/engine fully warmed up.. 350h left factory end of July 2022, so may well be one of the last dodgy handles judging by the polish findings.
  5. Maybe we could all contribute to a list of "highly rated" Lexus dealer across the UK, such as offering free fuel on recall visit; or just a pleasant experience on service visit etc. So one can make an informed choice for their next dealer visit. 😅
  6. Their build allocation do seems to be all over the place @dog3665, I guess I'm one of the slightly lucky ones that took delivery already. I ordered rougly a month after @Marlinleg, alomost identical spec I think, so base 350h AWD with premium pack plus the 14inch screen, at the end of December 2021, and all mine timeline seems to be rougly following rougly a month after @Marlinleg. So my dealer originally quoted ETA was June-22, then got pushed back to Aug-22, finally arrive at dealership early September and collected last week. Hang on there for those you still waiting, it's worth it! Just been through London rush hour traffic this morning (proper traffic with a HGV broke down in the middle of the Hanger Lane roundabout for those of you who knows the area!) and the hybrid system is working its magic!
  7. Congrats! Great colour choice 😉 I got the same 🙂
  8. thank you so much, the excitement really starts now knowing my car actually exist somewhere on the other side of the planet! 😅
  9. yes of course, mine is via Lexus Twickenham in London direct. Seems like a few people getting ridiculous delay are all lease orders through broker, I feel for you, hope they sort it out for you real soon. Cheers
  10. Wow great work there! Thank you! That's my weekend activity sorted then 😂 Hope yours arrive real soon, seems like there will be a big wave of deliveries from the viking adventure 😉
  11. hi everyone, I received the "left the factory" notification last Friday (22/7) and my dealer has confirmed my car is indeed "at sea" but said he doesn't have the ship information. Now I tried to look on the marine traffic website but must say I'm completely clueless on where to start, any experts here received their "left the factory" at around the same time and know which ship it's on? Or can point me in the right direction to work out which ship it's potentially on? It'll be great fun to track every move of the ship as it head towards portbury, even if it turns out to be the wrong ship at the end! haha For those of you trying to work out a rough timeframe for your own order, mine is a 350h ordered directly with the dealer at the end of Dec-21, and went into "build" roughly a month ago. Thanks guys. Lok
  12. I ordered mine (350h) towards Christmas and have always been told August up until now, I have a feeling that some dealer/salesman are more optimistic on lead time than others, maybe to encourage us to order? Whereas some (like my dealer) are more conservative to manage expectation... Just a thought. more interesting is how the hell did your friend manage to get it so quickly, when he/she only ordered in Jan. I think we all need to get a tip or 2 from your friend! 😉 Cheers Lok
  13. have a look at this video, same wheel as UK's base 350h. if you search nx250 2022 on youtube there are plenty more other videos with this same wheel, obviously not as cool as the bigger wheels but not too bad imo. BTW my dealer said the new price are effective from 3rd Jan, so if you place an order quick enough you might be able to lock in the lower price still! good luck!
