Mine was just adjusted with no new parts and has worked perfectly every time since…. And I have filled up quite a lot with a 1000 mile trip and general running around. 🤞

See my post of 17 May above… sounds like my issue.

I am confused. My service department said that they adjusted the mechanism, and that they had done a few of these. Yet some of you need a new mechanism🤔 I will call the dealer to see if I can get an answer.

Had my fuel cap adjusted yesterday when it went in for LTA recall. They said it is an easy adjustment and that several people had complained about it. The problem was intermittent. I had my wife put her fingernails under the fuel flap edge while I pressed the button. Apparently, there is a little hatch in the boot liner that gives access to release the flap manually.

I use the Auto High Beam and have no concern Dave because the change in beam is not an instant on/off flash type transition. It is more like a fluid transition gradually changing the shape of the area lit up.

Alex, I stopped using it on my 2020 UX for the same reason of being constantly flashed. After using the 2022 NX version on many occasions I am really impressed and have only been flashed once. I think the latest version is a huge step forward in technology.

When selecting a title name please include a reference to the subject…. E.g. High Beam Question. That way we can be selective in which posts are relevant. Thanks.

Can’t say I agree in relation this model. My Takumi NX was £ 51,800 when I bought it for Feb 2022 delivery. RRP now is £ 57,810 and I bet they haven’t ironed out all the problems….

Just coming up to 8k miles since 4 Feb and I think the fuel flap release issue is due to grit being driven into the cavity by motorway spray etc. gentle hose of the cavity solved it for a while but last fill I had to prise my fingers under the flap…

Obviously a design fault then.☹️ I wasn’t aware of a release in the boot so I will look into that.

Stuart Was it the remote release that failed or the actual filler cap? I had a worrying time at the petrol station when it wouldn’t release when I pressed the button. At the 4th attempt with me pressing and pulling the flap and my wife pressing the button it did release. I cleaned the grit out of the hinge and it seems to have been Ok since.nWas going to mention it on frost service.

I am 99% certain it doesn’t. No SD card, no red button to press to save files and the lens is no good to record when something is very close to the rear of the car and fills the screen.

Thought I would post photos for reference of how the Thule Force XT M looks on the New NX. I have used the Power Click system that comes as standard with the Box (and clamps on the bars) but the Lexus Bars also have a 20mm slot to use the T-Bolt fittings available separately. The Box opens both sides for convenience.

PS My Thule Wing bars were 118cm on the UX but official UX bars from Thule are only 108cm. I was glad of the extra 5cm overhang each side as you could see in the photo.

I haven’t tried putting two Kayaks on the Lexus bars as I feel they are too short for that. I sold my Thule Hull-A-Port J Bar carriers last week and I still have the Thule Dock Grip horizontal carrier that allows me to single-handedly load the Kayak from the rear. When we moved the Kayaks a couple of weeks ago we made 2 trips. Size (width) of your Kayaks is also a factor - mine are Hybrids so quite wide. Sea Kayaks are usually narrower than mine. If I was younger I would wait for the Thule and carry two on the roof. Given how much higher than the UX the NX is, and the relative shortness of me and my wife, plus we are in our 60’s….. I am happy not to be lifting the Kayak into the J bar….

Mine is steady as a rock. Definitely a fault.

I used the App to defrost my car in the winter and now to cool it down in our hot summer. It is a great feature given that we have my 6 month old grandson staying. I have set the internal temperature at 21 degrees when it has been 30 degrees inside the car. One thing though… it will show an error if the car is unlocked. The car has to be locked to operate the remote climate feature.

I hadn’t realised that the App is updated so often!😱

Just answered my own question! Went to the App Store and saw that it was showing an update available since 20 hours ago. Have updated to 4.12.2 (483) I have no idea yet what the “minor improvements and bug fixes” are though.

How do you know it was updated? My iphone app shows version 4.12.1(481)

Keep going back to the mirror though. 4.5k thousand miles on mine and last 3k with the digital mirror after reading about others who stuck with it…. I wouldn’t go back to normal mirror unless I have to.
