The ones that I bought include the full housing and wiring, its a very neat light and can be easy attached within the footwells (somewhere) - they are from the old ulitma (brand new though). Like you say i'm hoping somebody can direct me to the dome light feed colours etc. @ Bernard - Didn't want anything to bright just subtle really, did find some Neons but just couldn't bring myself to buy them

Just ordered some "normal" Ford footwell courtesy lights, I did this becuase i don't want anything to "rude boy" :P (and they were cheap, and I mean cheap) Anybody know what colour wires / pin positions I should be looking for for the dome light (roof light) - as I want tap into the feed for the Dimming effect. Thanks for your help.

Unless they give you a nice hefty discount, or extra trade-in value on yours i'd wait! Why do them a favour and get nothing in return..................

Just had a thought, I really need to take a feed off the Roof Mounted Courtesy Light, that way both footwells will light at once when any door is opened (which is what I want) taking a feed off the door light would only mean one side would light up etc. The additional bonus being that I take it that the courtesy light is on a relay delay? Anybody know where I can trace the feeds too in the drivers / passengers footwell, and what the maximum loading is for the 2no. additional lights. Keep those links coming too of led'S etc. your all a great help - thankyou

just a thought but aren't the buttons that operate the lights on the door hinge side a bit closer to the footwell ← Indeed they are and these are the ones i'll tap into, just trying to find some suitable fittings. Preferably something quite subtle. BUT NO NEONS!!

Hi I am thinking about adding some footwell lighting to my IS, working of the interior roof light or door lights so comes on when doors are open etc. Has anybody done this? if so where did you get the lights from and where did you connect too? Thanks in advance. :D

Full of questions recently! I am shortly (very shortly) going to be purchasing an Aux-In from Dave (Prolex) to use with my MP3 player. I want to keep the Ipod in the cup holder / storage compartment beside the handbrake. That way I can flip up the lid and choose any tunes accordingly. In the install i'd like to hardwire a power cable somewhere, maybe the cigarette lighter source (or other) but I want it all hid away. So was wondering if it is possible to drill a hole (big enough to fit the scokets through) through the back of the storage box, and run the wire under the console and in to their connections for the HU and Power. Obviously finishing the hole back off with a nice gromet to make it look tidy. Great place to store the Ipod but is there enough room in the console for the cables especially around my Auto Box - drilling may be a problem too - ie the angle of entry! Any ideas appreciated. Do they simply "stick" over the existing with doublr sided sticky tape! or are they a direct replacement.

I have been checking out the Prolex site, and see that they still have the Mirror Indicator Covers on there, SEE HERE when they were 1st listed we were going to get some reviews but nothing yet. Only thing I would say, is never use the words it could be worth this when the jobs finished............ The question should be do you want to live there? then can you realistically complete the works needed within a reasonable timeframe? Do you have the money for the refurb now? If you can answer a BIG yes to all the questions then go for it, if not then I would think again.

Its all down to personal preference, I admit some you love and some you hate - my personal feelings are if you want a scooby go buy a scooby.
