  1. Hope you got my email Scott. I would like mine fitted please Thank u
  2. The quick and simple way to deal with this is to say "sue me" or see you in court. Seems like they have taken a list of people who did have a loan with the company and then sent out these letters to see who will pay up again. Sounds like they seem to have just the list of names but no details of loans. Seems like the details are missing because the loan is cleared. Tell them you might counter sue for causing distress and wasting your time
  3. If the truth be known though Matt not all speeds quoted on the impending prosecution ticket is correct. The police force will always hope you will just pay up. My 2 offences could have got me banned so I had to fight. I would have gladly taken points and a fine in my case but when the term "could face automatic ban" crops up I check every detail on that charge and if any thing is incorrect, no matter how minor it is I will fight it
  4. I was charged for doing 108mph on M5 in GS300 Mk1 and I denied doing that speed. I didnt deny doing over 70 but claimed they are spcifically charging me for doing 108 which was incorrect. I knew I was doing more than 110 as well. Being ex military i knew how their laser worked so i challenged the amount of time they locked on to me because they were being sneaking and try to catch you coming round a bend. From the bend to the bridge was about 200 meters which they couldnt deny. magistrates threw the case out
  5. ... end of the day.. this comparsion ALWAYS without fail bring out a little rivalry.... In my honest opinion, its a great sight whenever i see either a Lexus or a toyota in a performance magazine... and i think that CERTAIN PEOPLE in this wonderful club, should get scrawling to certain magazines and gets theirs in too... Rather see a lex or toyota in a mag than a damn Subaru or Mitsubishi anyday... Japanese performance should sometimes be Impreza monthly!! That is so true Scot. i subscribe to the mag and Banzai and yep its all Imps.
  6. If you detect the laser as it locks on you all you have to do is take your foot off the accelerator and make sure you keep touching the brake. Lasers dont like changing speeds and the lock needs to be on your car for about quarter mile. (got away with it twice now because i went to court)
  7. Unforntatley it's the hardware that sees the laser, it's the software that tells the hardware what to do when it encounters the laser/freq waves. very true.. thats why I stated software combination
  8. the tom tom 3 depends on the gatsos to be registered in a database as a point of interest. So it doesnt operate like snooper or road angel and it would be great to get a sat nav with snoopers/road angel abilities. But if any one knows any software combination that can spot laser actively let us know
  9. http://www.cypherix.com/password_protect.h...rce=overture_uk try that site see if it helps
  10. Tom Tom 3 does pick up the gatsos and is very accurate. I am testing one at the moment and it picks up some gatsos in Vans. I noticed it goes crazy when I drive into a police HQ with all the patrol cars around. But i dare not ask the police to swich their gear on so that I can see if I pick it up (the thought has crossed my mind though and I'm sure I will find a friendly officer to test the theory
  11. Why not password protect their XP login and force them to lock the workstation when they leave? In other words eveytime yo wanna use the workstation you login with your password. Use screen saver to lock the station if unattended for more than 5 mins and force it to ask for password to unlock the station(all under screen saver)
  12. If the files are created from any Microsoft Office application you can password protect those files. If you are only sharing folders and not setting up windows network to login you may find that you cant apply the normal Windows security to the files. The normal security is applied by right clicking on the file; going to properties and the pop-up box will have a security section on it where you add the users that you want to give access to the files
  13. Just finished reading the article and the front grill def has the Toyota badge and TRD logo
  14. The front grill has the Toyota badge in the article
  15. You should ring the police area control room and ask if they have a quality management team who you could speak to. Then ask if the officer should test the area of glass the driver look through while seated in a driving position, rather than an area which looks at the sky? If they cant give you a satisfactory answer ( dont accept any guesses) take it to court. Most police areas now have a team called FQM who check the legallity of what their officers have done in every event which may lead to prosecution. They have to do this just in case there is a court case. They also have a CPS rep on site to talk to. You may be surprised that their device may not take into account the ability of the glass to filter UV but still allow the eye to have a clear vision. So Lexus could say the glass is reactive to light. So as you can see a smart ***** lawyer with Lexus GB could blow that case clean out the water. You defending yourself could blow it out on a technicallity but asking these questions in court and raising the point that Lexus GB surely wouldnt break the law
  16. Have a nice one Scott Dont drink too much Clive
  17. very nice indeed!!! looks great
  18. I have never ridden a bike but I have always pulled into the left to allow bikes to pass. In a traffic jam most of us tend to look for bikers on the right, why should I pull to the right in on-coming traffic if I'm in outside lane. When they ride between the 2 lanes, I think that it is their responsibility to make sure cars are not moving back into the left lane. Using a bit of road sense we should accept that the guy in the left lane would be the one to look for bikes while the biker watch for cars coming from outside lane. My reasoning is that its too easy for the guys in outside lane to re-act to oncoming traffic and have to move in closer to cars in left lane, especially if an emergency vehicle is coming the other way. All this then makes one wonder why bikers are allowed to ride between cars? And why do we accept that a ****** off road user can take out frustration on your car. Does that mean if we had handguns the motorist can then step out and use biker as target practice? We need to curb our anger and frustration on the streets because you never know if the guy next to you has just had the worst day in his life.
  19. Try calling Custom Concepts UK email them at ccuk75@msn.com they may do it or know someone who can Can try find phone number if that will help....
  20. If you do want to go down the Altezza route, its well worth waiting for and as said before Scott is a top guy and even though he's busy its well worth waiting to get the right Lex that you want. Mind you once you've owned a Lex you hate driving other cars (Had 2 Avensis since parting with my GS300 Mk1..getting Altezza RS next.. thats why Scott is so busy) Clive :D

  25. Words of wisdom from Colin there.... My insurance company through A_plan had to refer me me to their specialist Branch in Thatcham because the Altezza RS is not the same as the Lexus IS200 or IS300. Both the IS200 and IS300 were drived from the Altezza and can be considered to be a de-tuned version of the Altezza. My insurance quote was £100 more than what the IS200 would cost me, so listen to Colin and get a quote for ALTEZZA
