    I have a June 03 SEL and have had no communications regarding a recall as yet. But I am visiting my dealer this week to test drive an LS430 (just thought I would slip that in) so I will tke the opportunity to ask. :D

    Looks like I am showing my age again.I must remember that modern cars are now mobile computers and are serviced by software engineers and not by us old grease monkeys. :mat:

    I believe that the facility exists in the main wiring loom for the American market, but has been disabled for Europe. If my info is correct it should be possible for a good auto electrician with a full wiring diagram to reconnect the locking. I had this on an S Type Jag and it drove me potty. Good luck.

    Congrats on a successful purchase. Went around the Paris ring road earlier this year (can't spell peripherique so ring road will have to do). Without the satnav would probably still be there. The RX is a wonderful long distance cruiser, in our house this is known as travelling Lexus Class.

    I use a Nokia 8910 which fits nicely in the drivers door armrest. Although I have to use a Bluetooth earpiece as I have the early rx mk2.If you go to the Nokia website and display all the phones you can see the Bluetooth compatible handsets. Happy hunting

    If you can get Pentax to confirm accidental damage you may be able to claim on your household insurance. As to a new camera, I recently bought a n 8million pixel all singing and dancing job-unfortunately the pictures are A0 size (at 8m pixels)and take up a great deal of memory on my computer.As I either view the pics as a slideshow or print 6x4 for family distribution this this is a little excessive. Good luck.

    Hope you enjoy your R X as much as I enjoy mine. Don't know about the mp3 jack but the DVD thingy is in the boot under the plastic cover holding the tools. I think it is on the driver's side. I found mine whilst looking for the spare wheel on the second day of ownership and before reading the manual. Happy motoring.

    I have a Snooper S6-R hard wired (the deal was that if the fitter drilled a single hole I would have to kill him, his family , and any close relative for five generations). Apart from the radar detector which is a modicum sensitive (now turned off) the unit works very well. Oh! and needless to say the GPS and radar/laser sensor were fitted without the need to add any extra passageways through the metal.

    I have had my mk2 RX for just over the year.(ordered before the launch) it replaced the previous RX, which I really enjoyed.Your choice of vehicular conveyance is beyond reproach. My wife and I have been to Spain twice in ours, once with her parents (now in their 70's), without any probs. We do not have the I.C.E. but have a removeable system fot the grandchildren which is quite acceptable.The I.C.E. must be your individual choice but the motor is a very wise selection.

    Just returned from a round trip to Spain, fully loaded both ways. I left the pressure at the standard setting as running at high speed for long distances increases the heat and therefore the air pressure.The car performed to the usual high standard with no extra tyre noise or excess heating of the tyres.

    I use baby wipes from Sainsburys on my oakham leather seats and used regularly they work very well. I have tried all sorts of other leather cleaners without real success.
