    Sorry but can't help with the various upgrades, but I can say that the LS is the best luxury car for the money. The fit and finish is now legendary as is the reliability. They are fast, quiet, comfortable and reasonable to run (given the size and wieght) but they do depreciate like a heavy stone in water. Test drive various models and buy the best you can afford and you will be pleased as punch everytime you drive it. I am. :D :D

    Try and get one with a megapixel camera and you will be able to take proper still photos as well as video. Whilst they all take a still shot without an on board camera this is saved on the tape and is a pain to download. Bottom line is you will only need to carry one camera and get your video and seperate downloadable stills. Good luck with your search.

    Contact your local vat office, they can be very helpful. The dilema is the declared value. Too high and vat and any duty could be quite a sting, too low and if anything goes wrong you will get a low insurance payout. Looks like a nice piece of Americana. I have a factory in Southampton so if you need it shipping a few miles outside the docks give me a shout.

    Well done, glad you got the problem sorted. Can't help with the exhaust as us "old duffers" just take the car out of the box and drive it. I am sure that plenty of well informed help will be along soon.

    I travel from England to Spain 2/3 times each year and stop on route every 2/3 hours for a coffee or a pee and top up the tank during one of these. Travelling Lexus class on the continent is a joy. :D :D :D

    I agree with Zee. Firstly your contract is with Halfords NOT Peco. Secondly if the goods are not fit (scuse the pun) for the purposes intended then under the sale of goods act you are entitled to a refund or a replacement. Don't let some lazy :tsktsk: fob you off. Demand your money back or a replacement within 2 working days. If this gets you nowhere then a call to the local trading standards officer will light a bomb under their ill informed ar*e. :yack:

    If you have signed paperwork and have paid the relevant amount on that paperwork, and have taken delivery of the car then the deal is done and dusted. Tell them to go and pester someone else.

    You could try locating the previous owner and ask if he/she still has the set of manuals.

    Can take you through the system check on my 2005 LS and hope it is the same as yours. Press menu button on dash and on the top right of the menu screen is a "map dvd" icon. touch this and the version and release date are shown on the screen. Hope this helps

    On my car Platinum-Ice cos it is easy to keep clean. But I think that well pollished black is the dogs but a labour of love so not for me.

    Did 3220 miles with 4 adults and enough luggage for a small army, full aircon (front, back and seats as we were driving in 40 degs much of the time) cruising at 85mph got 29.8 mpg. The LS did not miss a beat and was a joy to travel in, satnav was a little confused at times but nothing major. Going again in Sep and looking forward to it already. :D
