  1. Yesterday we did 5 journeys, the App says we only did 3 of them. That's fairly typical forgetfulness of Lexus IT
  2. That's my belief. The new App is better (well less worse would be more to the point) than the original App but it was very noticeable that in the recent cold weather the remote climate control failed several times. Hard to escape the conclusion that's because understandably there were far more demands and the Lexus servers were not up to the job. Lexus know how to build a superb car mechanically but are letting their brand reputation go to the dogs with their inability to have a reliable and rich featured IT overlay that increasingly 21st century motoring expects,
  3. We've had this issue on and off since we got the car 18 months ago but lately it's been worse. Don't think it's either signal or password strength related (our is a 10 character mixed up one) I suspect Lexus servers just drop off when too many requests hit them. I've seen no evidence the Lexus IT system was designed by anyone with the relevant needed experience
  4. The 0-60 spec time is 6 seconds which is certainly not slow by any means but IMHO the really good bit is the 0-30 performance which is excellent. However the 40 to 70 overtaking acceleration is just OK
  5. Nope, that would apply if it was a complete server downtime but not all server software issues work like that and they can be interactions with extra packet delays through some networks.
  6. We've had that 'cannot load profile' issue repeatedly since getting the car in June 2022 so it wasn't caused by this new App but it is a lot worse since. I believe the actual issue is Lexus haven't got a clue how to have decent server support for the system architecture they've deployed. Oh and today after logging in yet again to clear that 'cannot load profile' screen it's lost all our saved destinations.
  7. because they never tested it. They don't do alpha testing to any depth relying on throwing junk out to customers and let us find the bugs for them.
  8. Yet another example of where Lexus really doesn't do digital OR treat customers with respect. Completely disabling an App until an update is done is just not the right way to do things, not sending an email advising an update needed is not the way to do things and as others have posted, linking to the wrong App to load for an update and seemingly no one at planet Lexus actually checking the functionality is not the way to do things. Lexus had a reputation as a premium brand, not now.
  9. After my initial optimism on this recall we are now seeing exactly the same: several journeys unrecorded. But at least Find my car and remote air con are now working - well they are until my tempting of fate leads to their demise
  10. Worrying. As you said earlier, the App driven features are part of the advertised ie contracted offering of the car yet Lexus seem to treat their customers as if it's just a courtesy they can decide not to support. For nearly a year our dealer would just shrug shoulders and give us the number of the tech support line that could do nothing. Someone should have known they had to implement update XGG78 but it only got done 4 days ago with the annual service. Since then the car has behaved on all the Lexus Link functions which is why your post is worrying. How long will they last?
  11. We finally got XGG78 carried out this week at the 1st annual service, suddenly all our known connectivity issues seem to have been fixed. - remote climate control now working again - Car location now working (updates within seconds of leaving the vehicle) - Hybrid Coaching now seems to remember all the journeys - And hopefully the really annoying occasional 'profile cannot be synced' while driving has gone too Which functions don't now work for you? Of course it's not good that that recall has taken ages for our car despite months of us complaining about the connectivity issues. Seems at least our Lexus dealer has no clue when it comes to any of the modern day systems.
  12. Nope Right now ours is showing its exact location right down to the correct house number Sometimes though it can be 40 miles out because the whole connection system in the car software is a pile of junk.
  13. The Lexus supposed 'leading edge' navigation is so rubbish and anything but leading edge I soon went back to using my 10+ year old Tom Tom instead. That accepts home planned destinations and actually does cope with traffic delays but truth is IMHO there's little advantage in this home planning.
  14. Probably should have posted that in this thread
  15. Just fully charged it and it's showing EV Range: 44.9 miles EV Range with AC: 44.4 miles Does match what we got out of it today (warm day, no heating required)
  16. We still get that fault, despite given clear evidence of its repeat occurrence the dealer hasn't got a clue why or how to proceed to fix it. Why Lexus feel it's a great idea to have you stop on a major road to key in the password yet again is beyond reason. The problem is the whole software is full of bugs and this issue seems to be way down the list of their priorities to fix it.
  17. Would that be Lexus at Tunbridge Wells by any chance? We have found them totally useless on any issue with the perverse software on the 450NX. They just bleat 'you'll have to contact the tech helpline' and last time I did that they effectively said 'yes it doesn't work but we've decided it's not a priority so won't be fixing it' As to the problem of primary driver we found it kept allocating the wrong driver but did find it relatively easy to reallocate the primary driver using the App and centre display. There is also the My Lexus portal for owned cars which IIRC lets you change owner if you have the log book info and VIN https://www.lexus.co.uk/customer/portal#/tiles/ownedCars FWIW we now use one primary driver profile that links to both keys and that just about seems to work. Having individual driver profiles never worked as their software can't accept that sometimes both drivers are in the car both with their car keys.
  18. Ours is now showing an average since purchase (June 2022) of 2.6 miles/Kwh which is way down from the initial 3.1 so must be showing the effect of the winter where I assume the battery is used for heating. Overall mpg is showing as 84mpg but that of course is in part because many of those miles have been pure electric. On the latest of the few pure hybrid journeys the App can be bothered to tell me about it says 52.4mpg which was rural roads. Get more like 41mpg on mixed motorway/A roads driving
  19. That's never worked on our Lexus. The map shows a frankly incomplete set of traffic cameras and doesn't warn us in any way for the ones it knows about
  20. Anyone else looked at their 'Hybrid Coaching' scores in the Lexus App. It shows how well (ie economically) you are using the available energy? I usually score around 90/100 so can't be that heavy footed. And that 90/100 equated to a displayed 2.9 miles/kwh which should be an electric range of 52 miles but it seems (wisely) the pure electric mode cancels at around the 40 to 45 mile point ensuring there is some battery reserve for overtaking etc
  21. The whole design of the Infotainment/Sat Nav screen functionality reeks of them starting with a blank sheet of paper and not doing an audit back to the 'use case' requirements set of previous cars people liked. That is if they ever had a proper defined requirement set for those. Still on the positive side it makes every other software house in the world look good in comparison 😉
  22. Thanks, will investigate further but as I read page 363 it says 'The energy monitor and EV can be displayed on the multi-information display.' (the one in front of the steering wheel) which suggests limited to just the levels, ranges and whether the vehicle is charging or using power. What I want to be able to see is where the power is coming from when using power.
  23. It was £379 incl VAT for front and rear camera fitted incl the additional battery needed to make the parked mode work. Mrs K she much prefers it over the self fit one in my car - and she's right
  24. I can't say exactly, will have to look it up (it's actually my wife's car) and get back to you.
  25. We've not used the engine in recharge mode, I believe that's only useful if you need to drive through an urban area in pure electric. Our experience is when the car runs out of electric it smoothly switches to petrol but seeks to always maintain a small amount of electric power available for acceleration etc. Typically it shows 2 bars on the battery level indicator but can go down to 1 or up to 3. We've even had it charge up enough going down a long hill that it briefly switched back to pure electric mode. It's very well engineered but let down a bit by no real time energy usage display showing what's powering the wheels etc (like our Rav 4 had)
