  1. Hello all, just had my first cruse in my Dad's Lex RX coming home from hospital at the old age of 1 DAY. See why all you guyes get so excited about them. What a machine, sooooo smooooth. I am a little miffed however at my rear facing car seat, it will be another 9 months 'till I can watch where we are going on the sat nav!!!
  2. I am getting 20 so far, thought about the consumption b4 purchase but worked out at 12,000 miles it was only another £500 a year compared with say ML270CDI or X5 3.0d. When you are spending £36,000 to start with why not have the smoothness of a petrol, and the uniqueness of a LEX! Had it a few weeks now and it is just the most serine drive, keep forgetting the engine is running, LUXURY!:smug:
  3. How about leaving it in your drive! - Those wheels were made for turnin'
  4. Style does'nt take the weekend off! ;)
  5. Yip, I'm up for it! Knockhill would be good, what about the 11th of Aug, the track should be quite quiet, only the odd BTCC going round. I'm sure my RX will be run in then and I will have no problem keeping up with the field. Well possibly if I follow the whole track but if I cut from the chicane over the hill, past the commentry box and back on the track at Buchards then there sould be no problem. Who says 4x4s are slow!:lol: Seriously I think a Scottish meet is a fab idea. Knockhill would be a good venue!
  6. Vic, Tell him nicely but your bro has made a big mistake! (in my opinion of course). We tested the M Class and it was awful. Bone jiggling hard suspension, poor and cheap build quality (yanks!) and generally not worth the money. They always get poor reviews and the worst thing.... they are everywhere on the road. Passing an RX is an event, whereas the M Classes are lined up out side every school in Edinburgh dropping off the kids! Germany a common 0 Japan an exclusive 1.
  7. Thanks for all the kind words guyes!! So you don't think us SUVers drive buses! Seems like a lot if IS200 owners here, I was thining about one for my next company car, good idea??? Views from the unbiast forum members welcome.... JAE is a bit far from Edinburgh but we'll see, the only RX may be a bit special!
  8. You should check to see if your insurer also gave (sold) you Driver Legal Protection Cover. This will allow you to take the matter to court and won't cost you. The cover will pick up the tab for legal fees. Worked for me in the past when (of all the people) a solicitor bumped me wifes car then denied it!
  9. Thanks to Steve (LOC) my new pride and joy is in the member gallery now, check out the link, I especially like the sat nav pic! There doesn't seem too many RX owners out there or are you all busy crossing fields  http://www.teamlexus.co.uk/html/modules.ph...lbum.php&page=2 [Edited on 12-6-2002 by Administrator]
  10. SC430 owners (plural just!) Just a note to say what a fab car you have. My wife and I test drove it at the Lexus Scottish Open day near Edinburgh a few weeks ago. It was lovley! We have a 19 month daughter and one due in 3 weeks so it is on our shopping list when we don't need to child seats in the back, for now we are more than happy with our RX300. Horses for courses and alll that. Look forward to joining your ranks in a few years, which I guess meens I need to place my order by the middle of next week  [Edited on 11-6-2002 by JohnRX300]
