  1. Wash all the crap and dirt off them. I used a degreaser and rinsed them all off. The I took a very fine sandpaer to them. Wet and dry 800 grit would do. Then I used a plastic primer (about 2 coats) left to dry, and it really is up to you what colour you want to go for after that. Plasticoat do some nice colours!! Once I had painted all the bits I left them all to dry for a few days, and then came along with some clear coat lacquer and gave them all a few light coats. Simple!!!
  2. No wonder they are for sale! They are rank!!! Looks like a kid with a crayon designed them.
  3. You pay at the gate on the way in mate! GBP£20 for the Saturday and Sunday and camping for 2 people.
  4. Get out the Vasoline!! Because customs are gonna ride you up the arse bringing in those rims from the States. Your only hope would be to have that lakeside place mark each box as a gift or else have them declare the value as being less than it actually is.
  5. When you floor it, you close the butterfly valve on the SC unit, thus the SC is in the boost state! Then when you come off the accelerater the valve returns to the open state and any compressed air in the SC unit flows back out throw the induction pipe and filter giving you the "hisssssssss" Thats my understanding of it. Correct me if I am wrong! Its a lovely feature of the TTE SC though. Mine does the "hisssssssssssss" nearly at all gear changes if the revs are high enough (circa 5000rpm)
  6. Throw actually feels shorter!!! I am thinking its got to do with law of the lever or something??? It seems easier to slot into the gears with this shifter than is did with the OEM ball. This so works with the short shifter is unbelievable! Its actually pleasent changing gears now. When I put the short shifter in, gear changes felt more positive but clunky, now the clunkiness is gone and its just postitive, snappy gear changes. Can anyone explain how changing the gear knob for this one above as opposed to the OEM ball, could make such a brilliant difference????
  7. Looks like having been a proper belter of a trip!! How many miles did ye rack up over the whole trip, from start to finish?
  8. Well my old knob (gear) was looking a bit faded so I purchased a new Richbrook Touring style staybrite aluminium one. This gear knob is so much nicer to use with the TRD short shifter than the OEM ball gear knob. I got the "L" emblem on top rather than the gear diagram, as after owning my car for a year, I think I am able to remember what gear is where I would recommend this type of gear knob style bigtime to anyone running a short shifter in their Lex!!!

  14. I have been offered a limited supply of batches of 12 US quarts for $120 plus shipping. You would need 3 quarts to do the gearbox. This stuff can also be used for the rear diff.

  16. good oppertunity to change all the other belts then too me thinks!
  17. 63K I know they say 100K or 6 years, whichever comes first but when I did a search on here I read a few post about the cambelt looking a bit worse for wear on a few motors well before 100,000K. I've read also that some people change the belt at 60K. I'd just prefer to be safe than sorry!
  18. Guys Is there much ripping involved to change the cambelt? Like how is it accessed? From underneath? Would the garage have to strip out my supercharger kinda thing, to get at the area for the belt After reading Mr Singhs "broken" thread I am tempted to get my cambelt done early and be done with it! Cheers!
  19. Lads, Is anyone running with Redline MT-90 for their gearbox oil? Heard great reports about this stuff!
