take care when you've got the keyfob in your pocket.doorbell rang at 7am this morning, :duh: next door neighbour standing there pointing at my pride and joy It rained last night! :tsktsk: All the windows and sunroof open. must have been open all night! inside of car soaked.thought that this must be fault but alas when i pressed and held the open button everything opened!! left fob in pocket while watching tv.must have pressed the button at some point last night.DOH!

I noticed last week while driving my is250 to work in the snow that I could smell burning rubber,noticed it again today on a long run I know with my old IS200 there was a smell of burning rubber coming from the exhurst area.(something to do with the underseal getting hot)has anyone else experienced this or has got any idea of what it could be.before I take it into Lexus to investigate? Cheers in advance.

Go to local lexus dealership and get quote(may be an expensive one )they do non insurance repairs)then get some other quotes.it depends on what you want.I've just had a scratch repaired on my boot that some little scrot decided to do with a key. :tsktsk: more expensive than chips away but perfect match. had a job done by chips away on my old is200 and not that impressed.cheap though so you get what you pay for really.(well what the other party is hopefully going to pay for!)

I know how you feel.had mine keyed along the boot on my drive a few weeks ago. In Jan 11th at Lexus B'ham for boot respray(As unable to smart repair!).£470 well p*&$! off.Some green eyed monsters about! Sat there for days thinking up of ways to take it out on them if I ever found out who it was! Sad I know but it's amazing what you can come up with when you put your mind to it. but still wouldn't be good enough for them.

I'm duen back tomorrow morning at 5am *** knows how if i'm going to be up in time.been off work since 20th dec due to wife dislocating knee ice skating. (although will be glad of the rest at work!!) :winky:

Some little scrot has put an 9 inch scratch along the top of my boot,while the car was on my drive.If I catch the little*@$! I'll kill them! :tsktsk: spent 3 hours with T-Cut and X scratch trying to do something with no real joy. :tsktsk: Car in for service next week so phoned up and asked them to sort scratch out. Well Pee'd off Why do they do these things!

No But I do have that Cracking Noise coming from the Dash (by the vent)sounds like a stone hitting the windscreen. will get Lexus to sort out when in for 1st service -

I do wish that the Boffins at lexus did put a rear wiper on the car but find Rain X does the trick.even a small amount of DEW :winky: runs off as soon as the car moves. -
Have you tried A Plan(linky on top of home page) may get even cheaper quote!! :winky:

After reading some threads about A Plan Insurance ,thought I'd give them a go!got a phone call today to go through some details,have been with tesco insurance for past 5 years ,lost my no claims through a shunt earlier in the year.Quotes around the £1200 mark received a phone call later this afternoon and very pleasently surprised. Quote (including discount for LOC membership! £740 :P fantastic.

I've give up with my dust caps,had some lovely ones from ebay with Lexus logo on,2 nicked after a week,got some more and lasted few months before two more went missing.just got plain silver ones on now.Kids nick them for their bikes!!! ( my lads got the lexus logo ones on his now,no use to me)

picked my is250 Auto up the other week, :D still love the way that when you get near the car the lights under the wing mirrors light up and the way the foot wells light up when you get in. small minds and all that! hope you enjoy as much as I have the past few days. by the way still look in mirrors and see people either walking or passing in cars looking around.great feeling!!!

took my is200 in for service and MOT on the Wednesday, Thursday picked it up,enquired about new is250 Auto, pick an ex demonstrater from Cardiff,car delivered to Lexus Birmingham following Thursday,but had to wait a further 10 days for DVLA to transfer cherished plates So all in all 17 days from placing order to receiving car.

At Last Got My New Car!

Has anyone else had this hassle with the DVLA taking so long to sort out a plate transfer?When I first got my plate it only took 4 days and that was with snail mail as well.now they take for ever -
:D At last got my new car After 2 weeks of trying to get the DVLA to pull their finger out,umteen phone calls from myself and the dealer to transfer my cherished plate and getting told'it will take 7 to 10 days!!!!!!'I picked it up on Tuesday. BUT WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!!
