  2. Sign up to Altezza Club of NZ/Aust or TezzaWorld & you'll find all the info & parts you could ever need. There's site traders who ship world wide on them. Oh & all engines in the Altezza come labeled "beams" so you need to be a little more specific, but I see from your info its a 3SGE
  3. I assume you're talking about the 3SGE out of the RS200? Altezza's also came with the 1GFE & 2JZGE in the Gita
  4. Yep it's pretty smooth. 3 coats of paint & one of clear made sure of that. You could put another coat of clear on if you wanted. The black will help hide the dust a bit too. I've seen others after they've finished with the wire wheel go over it with a small grinding wheel to really get it smooth.
  5. Thanks. I had thought about going with F-Sport blue but it would have clashed with my Greenstuff
  6. Finally got around to tidying up my brake calipers over the weekend. As you can see from the pic I took of them when I put the EBC pads in they were looking a little manky. Took to them with a wire brush attached an electric drill & a can of brake clean. That cleaned them up nicely. Thought about just spraying clear coat over the polished metal but I had brought a can of K&H black caliper paint on Friday so I decided to use it. 3 coats of black & 1 clear came up quiet nice. & to congratulate myself on a job well done...I had some of that fancy imported beer waiting for me haha
  7. Perfect excuse to replace it with a quality aftermarket unit if you ask me
  8. You're asking for trouble only using one of the oxygen sensors. The closed loop ECU will pack a sad over it
  9. Is it an English thing to name your car? My mrs is from mother England & likes to give cars names. We called mine "Terry". I wanted a male name as it would be less temperamental than a female :winky:. We called her Corolla wagon "Craig". Her previous car a Subaru Outback was named "Bertha" & it was an old pig.
  10. Yellows take a while to warm up to operational temp. Not really for street use unless you have a high HP car. The Greenstuff you have should be sufficient for the IS200. They're rated for cars upto 200hp. Your grooved disc will help keep them working at their best longer to.
  11. Bit of an overkill for a street driven IS200. I have Bridgestone RE001 on my Altezza which are the next step down from the RE11 & they more than manage to keep my 210PS under control.
  12. I'm pretty sure the cusco brace fits. Although I think you have to put the bar on backwards to clear the 1GFE as it's made for the 3SGE. Ref -> http://z4.invisionfr...wtopic=9557&hl= & http://www.tezzaworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=4666&start=0 There's plenty of cheaper no name brands on eBay which will do the trick.
  13. Have you seen this thread? http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=69693
  14. Cats are part of the header assembly on the autos. You're stuck with them unless you want to get secondary headers custom made. No one makes off the shelf units for them, only the manual which has a single O2 sensor. The auto has two, one sensor for each cat. Auto Manual
  15. Supposedly they're pretty good. Quiet a few guys running them over here in NZ
  16. Those new Bridgestone Potenza S001 look real good. Not sure what pricing will be like. Should be comparable with F1 Asymmetric. Anyone tried the Dunlop Sport Maxx TT? They've come out better than the F1's in a lot of tests of late.
  17. TRD leather ones look good & fits nicely. I have one in mine
  18. Don't forget to change your fluids. Some decent high temp brake fluid is a must. Get yourself some Redline MT-90 for the gear box & some 80w140 for the LSD. You'll also want to put some fully synthetic engine oil in & a quality oil filter to protect the engine from oil pressure fluctuations at high rpm. As the others have said ARBs are a must. If you're on a budget you could get away with just fitting a rear. Front & rear upper strut braces also help lots in the twistiest. Another thing you could look at are braided brake lines to help reduce fade. Looks like you've got pads & rotors sorted. You'll want some decent rubber as well, no point spending all that money on the suspension just to have your tyres let go.
  19. Anyone here running BC Racing coil overs? Your thoughts? They're not a bad price http://www.bc-racing.co.uk/search/?pfind=Lexus\IS+200\2000&search.x=73&search.y=25&search=search
  20. There's lots of threads on here with the answers to your question. A quick search & you'd have the answer by now. Maybe one of the mods could sticky a thread? http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_98-05/sds/sds403e/is200_gasoline.pdf
  21. I got mine from this guy on eBay -->> http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item5d2b9fdc36 He's UK based too. Hasn't got any fronts listed at the moment but I'm sure if you ask him he can get hold of some.
  22. Why didn't I think of that? I just sold one for a Mazda the other day with the exact same problem.
  23. As far as I'm aware Altezza don't have transponder keys. Mine doesn't & I can't see any mention of a transponder in the EPC on ToyoDIY even for the later stuff (i.e. 04). Alarms were an optional accessory & you'd know if you had one as they had huge stupid remotes/fobs. Your problem sounds like an ignition module playing up. But since the 3SGE doesn't have one as such then it wont be that. I'd see if it's putting out any fault codes. Could be a faulty ignition switch or relay?
