The drivers foot well carpet needs a good cleaning I'd like to know the best way to do it, and what in your opinion is the best cleaners to use, as you can see the carpet is quite dirty.

others might not agree with this

My mark 3 used to have cream leather - I used to vaccum out all the dirt as much as i could and then use daz handwash powder in hot water - soak micro cloth in solution and wring out as much solution as you can then gently clean a small section of carpet at a time - often re-soaking the cloth so no dirt goes back in the carpet.

the key is to make sure the cloth has little water in it as possible as excess water destroys the pile and the carpet never looks the same again.

i tried vanish foam aswell but didnt get a good result

i still use the same method today on my 430 which has grey carpet - but rarely need as i hoover it often prevent any dirt getting into the carpets in the first place.
