Hey all,

I have a little problem here, dunno if anyone can help

... I have a '93 Gs300 and locked the main switch(pushed it in) between the Gas tank and trunk releases ... problem is, I only received one key with the car ..I believe this is the valet key since there is no keyless entry button on it ...and it won't unlock the switch, and since the previous owner had removed the trunk lock from the lid, I have no way of getting in the trunk now!

I appreciate any suggestions.

As mudzs said think if your carefull you may well be able to take the button apart or if you can get at the back.. as crude as it may seem break the lock..or you may even be able to release it from behind.. I will have a look at mine tommorow a see

on the topic of your key.. If you only have the valet key how does it set the alarm and imobilser

On the back on the lock, there is 2 wires, plug the conector apart and short the wires with a piece of metal and then the boot release and petrol cap will work, you can keep the 2 wires shorted out to bypass the lock. Had to do this to mine when I misplaced the key, lucky I've found the key again :whistling:

..thanks for the advice

... as for the alarm and imobolizer? i have no idea if the car even have these, or if they work.

..another question, what's the difference between the master and valet keys? do they look the same, but cut differently or something?

..and, I noticed one of the forums had the master key for around $42. If i got that, would this solve the problem? and is $42 a good price for the master key? ...no remote function, just plain key

The valet key allows entery to certain areas for cleaning such as to B able to open the car but not to have access to the clove box or B able to start the car and the master key does everything, but you'll need the chassis or engine/vin # I think B4 they obtain the correct master key 4 U, but this would solve the problem with the lock though

The Valeting the key will not allow full alarm, only the imobilser I believe. Still keeps the Boot and Petrol cap Alarmed through as I found out when I forgot to lock the boot release
