Is300h Engine Oil Warning

Hi all,

The engine oil warning has recently pop up on my screen when i start the car. It says to contact my dealer, which I did
and they'd like me to bring it in, however they are an hour away from me so it's not an easy drop off.

I've done 20k miles and its due for service in December. Has anyone else had this warning and if so did you just top up with

oil or did you bring it to your dealer to have a look?

Have you checked the oil level?

Sounds like a low oil level to me, I assume these engines have a dipstick so as above check the level now,the last thing you want is a damaged engine for the sake of a litre of engine oil.

Had this on my mum's. Oil was exactly on the line on the dipstick. Took it to the dealer and they said to ignore it and reset the message.

I think it was some sort of service reminder.

Somewhere in the vehicle settings menu a reminder can be set for oil changes and loads of other things. I think it's probably that and triggered at the 20k mile mark.

So i checked the maintainence settings and it does look like it had been set at 20k which tripped the warning. Checked the dip stick and the oil level is fine. So booked it in for service. I live

about an hour away from dealer, so they said they would come and pick the car up for me, leave me with a courtesy car and then drop the car off. Lovely!
