Where can I find the paint/trim code on my car (2006 GS430)?

It is normally on the VIN plate - not sure where on your GS it is located.

I haven't located the VIN plate as yet, wondering if it under one of the engine bay covers?

You shouldn't have to remove a cover. If it isn't in the engine bay then it is possibly on the passengers door pillar.

Has the car not got the small pot of paint supplied when new? Normally located in glove box.

That's what I thought Colin, but nothing on the door pillar. My local Lexus dealership have given me the paint code (9AB) but they can't order it as it's now discontinued

Sadly not Dave............in fairness it is nine years old and I suspect long since used/removed.

Mine still had the paint and lacquer top coat in original box when I sold it at 13 years old.

Seems odd that Lexus can't get any paint for your car! What would they do if they had to repair it? Lexus Coventry/Cheltenham/Lincoln are all part of same group and have a fair size bodyshop in Coventry for all their franchises so maybe they could sort it out for you.

Try a Toyota dealer, paint codes are shared just the names that are different.

It's the paint touch up sticks for my car colour that they can't get anymore, I may well give the above mentioned dealers a call just to double check, thanks Dave.
