I rebadged the rear of my motor today, everything was all well & good until its came to the rear centre badge. I removed the old Toyota badge, cleaned the area up & then offered the Lexus badge up2 it. The lexus badge only hides away 2 of the holes, what is the best thing to do? Take it in2 a body shop or fill it myself? if the later with wot?

Steve,

Its a '91 V8, I did the front last week n was left with a mm of hole showing, u cant see the hole on the front unless you look hard. Im also thinking of fitting my car with '94 spec rear lights, but not 100% sure whether to or not?

If i remember right it's the larger Lexus badge that covers all the holes if you want to cover the hole yourself don't unless you are good enough with bodywork.

Take it to a pro, and have it done right, look at this post and you'll see how mine looked when i had the car resprayed,

my badges have got a dark plastic background on them which hides any holes and is hardly noticable against the dark green paint work , so whatever the colour of your vehical is get hold of a matching background cut to size stick on with badge

incidently did you take off the soarer badge ,if you did how was it fixed ,i would like to know as i have a sc400 badge and intend to put it in place of the soarer one

Here's a pic of my boot lid after removing the Toyota badge. The larger "L" badge from the SC430 covers the three holes a treat - my problem was that the paint was partially etched around where the old badge was. This pic was taken after lots of elbow grease, Meguiars Scratch-X, Meguiars polish, etc. :crybaby:

This etching shows thru the new L badge, but the intention is to have a complete respray (in black B) ) some time later this year, so it'll have to do until then.

Sorry, 2nd one was just an underline not a link. Have taken it off :)
