Front door protectors

Evening folks

Having had the CT200 now for over a month I am really enjoying the car and especially the wait for it......fuel savings!!  I cannot believe just how much the C-Class used to burn on the same journey and regular use.  So, all is good, apart from.......the front doors.  Now I don't know if its because the car sits low but more likely the car seems to have very tall doors.  I have, on one occasion opened the drivers door and crack, right along the pavement.  Careful not to do it again but the same can't be said for passengers and you don't always get there in time to tell them.

I'm sure others have experienced the same thing so was wondering if anyone has fitted some sort of guards along the bottom rear edge of the front doors?  They flare out slightly so that can also be the problem.  I'm hoping there is something on the market but after some searches on the net can't find anything.

Cheers

Zahid

Yes it's well known for the CT. Reported a lot on the US forum. I've experienced it a few times on the passenger side. I'm yet to find anything to protect it as I don't want anything that will trap water at the bottom of the door.

I feel your pain.  I've done it enough times but luckily still no scratches or dings.  Doors must be made of adamantium or something.  Unfortunately I haven't found anything to protect them.  Would be interesting to see if anyone out there has found a solution
