Harsh suspension IS300h

The correct tyre size is 205/55R16. These were fitted to the IS SE grade in 2013 when the series IV launched. Possibly try and drive one of those to see how it feels (although the suspension was changed in 2016 so may not feel exactly the same as your one would with 16" wheels).

Just to update my situation. I have changed to 16" wheels (the dealership gave me a cost basis deal, but still expensive!) which has helped soften the ride enough to make an improvement, sufficient to leave me satisfied that it was just about worth the change. I am running the new tyres at 2.4 (Europe), which gives a firm, but not excessively so, ride without activating the tyre pressure alert.

Hope this helps others who might have the same reaction to the suspension on the IS 300h.

The suspension on my 2015 is300h is very harsh indeed and as there seems to be no realistic (and affordable) solution I think its time for us to go our separate ways.
