IS220D Sat nav update

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am new to Lexus and have had my 2009 is220D SE for 6 months now. I have noticed my sat nav is out of date (it does not show the new motorways).

I have seen lots of post regarding nav updates - but can some one tell me how/where do I find the sat nav data ?

I think it is version 5 - but not certain. How do I check this ?

I have looked under the passenger seat - no disc holder there. Is the nav disc installed in the head unit ?? If so, how do I eject it to check the version installed ??

Thank you

 Kieran

Hi Kieran,

This video gives you an idea on where it is:

Although, if you have the toolkit there is a pair of prongs in the centre of the kit that are for removing the clock unit.

As you can see from the video, you eject the disc by pressing the button on the screen.
