bigbullhead 16
Looking at items to service change and a lot of boys with BMW’s change the PCV Valve on high mileage cars anyone done this? Also throttle body is another that may require a clean?
Mr Vlad 283
Hi Mat. Yes there's a few videos on YouTube on how to change the PCV valve. Looks easy but you need a 19mm I think spanner with a 90 degree bend in it. I tried to do mine but the hose to it seemed stuck to it so I've left it for now. As for throttle body I totally recommend it and the MAF sensor too. I posted a thread on it so maybe look it up.

bigbullhead 16
Anybody got a link for purchase I am struggling a bit finding a PCV valve
Beamish 40
I changed mine last year. Your safest bet is to get it from a dealer - the part number for mine was 12204-31040. I imagine yours would use the same part number. It was not expensive and you are assured that you are getting the correct part. Dec.
Mr Vlad 283
I got mine from Lexus online shop. I used CRC Carb cleaner for the throttle body and CRC MAF cleaner both excellent products
Beamish 40
I would second Vlad's recommendation for the CRC products. I have found them great to use even if a little difficult to find.
Mr Vlad 283
Difficult to find? I found them straight away on ebay and acceptable prices and quick delivery.
Beamish 40
I'm in Ireland and some ebay suppliers are not keen on supplying to ROI or if they do the cost of delivery can be excessive.
bigbullhead 16
Got mine in Japan via eBay as a lot of seller in The US were expensive shipping I payed 23 pounds delivered hopefully no duty
Mr Vlad 283
My supplier called Gear Max in Glasgow. I'm not converse with delivery charges to Ireland or anywhere else for that matter but from Glasgow to Ireland I can't believe there are high postage charges. Mine cost under £15.
