Is it possible to disable remote boot opening?

I have a habit of keeping my car remote in my pocket. On more than one occasion I have noticed my car boot open randomly - seems like somehow I press and hold the boot opener button on my remote. Doesn't happen THAT often, but it happens. The other night I heard a banging on my door about midnight and it was the police going past noticed my boot wide open! Nothing missing, must have pressed it again by accident.

Other than the obvious (hang the keys up or put them in a wireless signal blocking pouch, is there a way to disable this function? I did look through the menu system, did not see anything..

Anyone else do this or is it just me (again, had many cars with remote boot release, never was a problem!).

Apart from using the switch in the glove box to disable the boot open button (which the manual says includes disabling the remote), believe there is a dealer configurable option, viz.

One of these options may suit your needs.

Perfect! will get them to disable it next time I take it for a service. Hardly ever if at all use it intentionally. Thanks!
