Is £7k Enough

Intended spending around £7k on a GS300 but which one is the best to get??

Older low milage or high miler higher spec?

For 7k it would be the mk1 and i would go for the sport ,should get a very good one for that money with about 70-80,000 on the clock.It might just get you a mk2 but would be very high miles and not he sport model

Is the SE and sport different models??

yes the se is the same car ie interiour and engine etc but sport has rear spoiler , 18" alloy wheels and 10" rears as an option,sport mesh grille and lowered suspension

The sport sounds like the one..... but must be in short supply and hopefully not thrashed by the previous owner(s)

I've just paid £4900 for a mark 1 N reg with 120k on the clock and FSH. And I thought I paid a good price. But that's bang on for a sport! Wish it had come up two weeks ago before I bought mine!

Car now listed in Autotrader for £4995. Based in Washington, Tyne & Wear. Did a National Autotrader search this morning. It's the cheapest sport by over £1000. Text as follows :

1996 Lexus GS 300 Sport, 1996, green/black metallic, grey heated leather, 115k, full Lexus history, new MoT, taxed, immaculate 18 alloys, new pads, CC, multi CD, full electric pack,lexus owners club member, HPI report, 2 former . . . . (private)

There is also a pic of car. Not very good tho! I did complain when the guy came to take it, but he said he couldn't get a better one! He then left with his white stick .....Doh !

Guys, thx for all the input...... I took delivery today..... spending more than i wanted but my girlfriend told me to go for it!!. Mk II GS 300 SE, metallic blue, FLSH.... v nice
