My Rx450h tukami spec 2021 Reg has two peculiar problems.

The speed camera data often does not display, why?

and, the lane assist in cruise control keeps dropping in and out despite clear white lane lines.

My car contact with the lexus server is via mobile phone and tethering is operative.

Warranty issue?

Hi Alan,

I would guess that you (or the dealer) has updated the map database over the air.  This is known (by Lexus also) to stop the speed camera notifications from working properly.  The solution is to update the entire maps database over USB.  The dealer should be able to do this for you.

I cannot comment on why lane assist keeps dropping out.  My 21 RX Takumi does not have this issue and I find it very very good.

I would be asking at the dealership on the next service regarding both issues but something to check is the cameras mounting area at the top of the windscreen behind the mirror. With the weather we’ve had recently is it clean to enable the cameras to see clearly.

Thank you Steve, I had been keeping the camera in the front grill clean so I have been concentrating on the wrong one. I will check again on the camera you identified.

I think that's the radar for the cruise control, not a camera.

Sometimes I've the same issue on cold days early in the morning, I find the cause in condensation on the lens in front of the windscreen, it goes after a while driving
