Weird noise in engine bay? Does anyone know what could be?

It sounds aux belt related, try removing the belt then start the engine and see if the noise has gone. If it has check all the components on the belt run (alternator pulley, idler pulley, tensioner etc).

Deffo sounds like a pulley (bearing) in the aux system, which one should be apparent after belt is removed, or ( at your own risk) you could improvise with a screwdriver stethoscope and check each driven unit, water pump, idler, AC etc.

Just got it diagnosed by to different garages as a faulty water pump, they are asking between £300-£400 to replace it (London prices..)

This video also confirms it: 

 

@Texas yes, the noise under the car was resolved by replacing an exhaust shield clamp, apologies for not updating the post, will do that now

water pump can be got for about £125 I reckon and here’s how to do it!!!!

will need new coolant ( probably) but you do not have to disturb AC system👍
