Rear window demister?

I used the rear window demister this morning and noticed the top 100mm wasn't clearing. On closer inspection I notice that the top section panel seems to be separate from the lower one and has lots of gaps in the element (if that makes sense). I have looked in the manual to see if I've got everything switched on correctly and can't find any reference to any settings. Can any of you guys offer any advise?

I believe the fin houses the GPS and phone antennae

Radio both FM and DAB antennae are on the rear and rear quarter windows at least on my RC..

That would explain the gaps in the top element and the 'L' shaped elements in the top corners. Unfortunately that's the area that the rear dash-cam camera looks through.

You could move the rear camera mounting to the gap between the upper aerial and lower heating elements.

I fitted mine in this location.Whilst it is visible in the rear view mirror,it is no more intrusive than one of the old style rear screen carphone aerials.
