Door Applique - panels replacment

Recommended Posts

in a very strange way, door panels somehow melted, are there any instructions out there to able to order the parts and replace them myself as it should be easy to do as it seems to just pop them out, or it requires taking to the dealer? any advice is appreciated

Hi Alex @81legend Sorry I can't answer your question but I remember seeing a photo showing a similar problem. One theory was that it had been caused by hand sanitiser. Unfortunately I can't find the post but I guess it was either on this forum or https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ux-models-2019-present-299/

update: Took it to the dealer yesterday, they said tis his the 2nd car this week brought in with the exact same issue and the 3rd this month, initially they refused to fix it claiming it is an "external factor", after 45min convincing as this is clearly a factory defect part, they're agreed to schedule for a fix under warranty. found this link happening to other lexus cars EXACTLY the same way, as apparently reflection of the mirror itself possibly causes the plastic to warp like that in middle of december, what happens if the car is parked outside in july im wonder? https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ux-models-2019-present/943797-2019-ux-300-f-sport-exterior-trim-melting.html
