I have acquired a replacement sat nav disc player which needs swapped for the faulty one on my trunk.

Does anyone know how to remove the carpet from the trunk and remove the player. Looks like plastic plugs holding the carpet but afraid to prise them off in cast they are screws.

i am a complete novice so a step by step guide would be ideal thanks

Hi George

The Internet, particularly you tube is is a great place to start when carrying out any new job on your car.

I am sure there is a video on there which will help.

From I'm sure it is an easy job, no special tools and no fiddly bits. Just remember the removal sequence and follow it in reverse for the rebuild. I speak from experience!

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I did this job last year. They are plastic plugs holding the carpet and trim pieces. The job is straightforward, and a trim removal tool would be useful for removing the plugs. No other special tools are needed. Once the carpet is out of the way the sat nav player is easily accessible.
