Hi guys,

Does anyone encounter any engine oil emulsification problem in ES 300h when using it in winter especially. In north of China, many car owners have reported this oil emulsification problems happened in their ES 300h in recent years. I am wondering if this problem is also happened/common in the UK (especially in winter).

Thanks, guys!😀

You've partially answered your own question. Temperature, both outside air and engine. Most cars on a short commute in winter will have mayonnaise, due to the engine not getting hot enough. Even though a water temperature gauge will show hot, the oil temperature will be nowhere near as hot.

My Prius, used as a taxi doing 150 miles every 12 hour shift, was always clean.

Wife's Aygo doing a total of 10 miles per day on 4 trips, was always full of mayonnaise inside the oil filler cap during winter. Clean in summer.

Damnation! So I may have the head gasket replaced on my Vauxhall Nova all those years ago for nothing 😞
