Engine and Injector Flush

Recommended Posts

I have a 2013 RX450h on 105K miles. The last 2 times I have booked it in for a service at the local main dealer they have asked if I want to pay extra for an engine and Injector flush.

I struggle to see that this is necessary if it is not already included in the standard service. It's also something that was not offered before but not sure if it is recommended because of the age and mileage of my vehicle or just a new way to extract a bit more money from the customer!

Does anyone have any views on this?

Thanks

These engines are designed for, and regularly achieve, 200-300k miles and more without any additives, flushes or suchlike. Just another way of relieving you of your hard-earned cash.

I have seen several posts about this and most suggest it's a scam an either achieves nothing or is detrimental.  I think the US Toyota specialist Utube has something on it (? The car nut)

Thanks both for the replies. As I suspected, i'll give it a miss!

I belive is it made from five times distilled, (and double de-fatted) purest extract of oil of snake

What's not to believe?
