Recode so that rear lights are on when front daylight is on

Recommended Posts

Hello! Has anyone done recoding so that the taillights are on at the same time as the daytime lights. I am expecting my nx 350h at the end of August early September according to by the dealer. I know that in Canada there is a law from September 2021 that all new cars should have rear lights lit during the daytime.

This would probably require the coding to be changed to N.America/Canada region and likely to impact many other subsystems that wouldn't be compatible with driving in the EU region

I enquired about coding the adaptive headlamps on my RX to come on at lower speeds and change pattern/spread as is the case in Europe but unfortunately not possible

Ang coding if the technician uses the computer to see error codes, I guess the same technician can "easily recode" if knowledge is available so that it doesn't affect everything.have seen that it works on eu cars. By amateurs with simplified technology that does not change everything on the car.

As I understand it these things come in coded blocks, to change one thing others have to change also. Unless you can get the tech used to code units as they do on the production line, I don't hold out much hope. There was a chap posting on the forum who had that sort of knowledge but iirc he was from USA.

Forget any dealership entertaining the idea...
