PCP Mileage Limits

Recommended Posts

Quick question folks: if you state an annual mileage as part of your PCP agreement you will be charged for every mile you exceed it. So for example if you select an 8k a year mileage and have a 48 month PCP you would be allowed to cover 32k miles before being charged for excess miles completed. My question is would excess miles be charged immediately when the odometer goes into 32,001 or would it be after 32,999?

You'd be charged over 32k but that would only be after you've hit 32k

As in end of the agreement.

You dont normally get charged for excess miles mid term.

If you purchase the car it normally wont cost you anything.

You are charged when you hand back the vehicle at the end of the term for every mile over the agreed allowance, at the rate specified in your contract. Normally if doesn’t matter if you use the allowance evenly or for example you are heavy in one year and then not the next - unless you terminate early, in which case the allowed mileage would be proportion to the length of time the contract has run.
