RX450H Rear end "clunk/knock"

I can't see any questions on this before so I hope I haven't missed anything. 

I've just collected my car 2011 RX450H ( not air suspension) from my mechanic to investigate an intermittent clunk or knock from the rear, worse with two adults in the back. He's had it up on the lift, test driven it, sat in the back with someone else driving, taken all the stuff out of the boot but can find nothing amiss. He has heard the noise so can confirm it's not my imagination.

Has anyone come across this before?

Not come across this before.

But it is a case of elimination as there are about 30 different bits.

Looks like it's only happens when car is moving and you are saying the suspension, exhaust, tyres, alloys have been checked?

You need to check the car so the sound or knock is consistent, when turning the wheel, stopping, changing gear etc

Last service on my 2015 RX450 circa 50K miles revealed rubber suspension bushes beginning to delaminate and to listen out for knocks.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Predictably there's been no noises since I got it back. It's due a service at Lexus so I'll ask them to check it as well, but I was hoping to avoid their charges!

I had similar on my GS450h. physical examination showed nothing then I insisted on a full complement of passengers. 3 technicians 1 service advisor and myself, traveled 200yds and 2 techs said simultaneously rear shocker. Changed under extended warranty all now ok. It was an embarrassing noise when carrying passengers and I had to be firm with dealership to get it resolved.
