Can i ask the members is it possible to get a spare key reprogrammed to your car?

I have one for my GS450h ( original ) have located a similar phone on eBay for £50 has the chip included just needs to be programmed to your car. Auto locksmiths have quoted £400-500 but a replacement via Lexus but in that case I may as well go direct to Lexus. So can I just program the key from eBay? Is it going to be more cost effective to have the eBay one programmed as against buying a replacement direct from Lexus or auto locksmith?

Hi Jason. I'm sure if you have Techstream that you can programme a key yourself. 

Have you asked this question in the GS section of the forum? Your best bet is to ask in there as this section is basically for radio type subjects.

Hi. Thanks for the update, I do not have Techstream but it is something I have been looking at. Yes posted in the GS section need to see if anybody has responded.
