Hey... My dash has been creaking, I have a Lexus IS 300 with around 20,000 miles on it, and its bugging the hell out of me!! I've talked to the dealership about it, and they said I would have to pay for them to take it apart...mine too sounds like its coming from the CD player DASH... What should I do!??! Anyone ... its so IRRITATING!!! ARGH I'm going to pull my Hair out lol..

Also..

anyone experience tranny problems??... like the motor down shifting in weird places...at slower speeds real real rough...?

PLZ HELP!!

Thanks

Is300's haven't been around long so your car should still be under warranty

If you have a creaking dash it should be covered under warranty and you shouldn't have to pay anything

It's still under warranty but they said we'll have to pay them 90$$ an hour for them to take it apart and find the crackle.... and plus...

they said that since I have the aftermarket dash Carbon Fiber, it would be risky to start taking apart the dash cause if I break it the new dash costs 500 $$ ...what should I do? should I complain to them?? and tell them I demand them to fix it? LoL :?:

They told me Face to Face at my 20,000 mile check up that they would have to tear it apart, and they would make me pay 90$$ an hour, and if they broke the carbon fiber dash I would have to pay the 500$$ to replace it....

WTF? what should I say to get them to do it under Warrantty

hold on a sec -this guy is in the US, and i take it he has changed the original dash for a carbon fiber one?? rather than getting a carbon stick on cover- if so i think the dealer is justified in charging a labour fee.. i.e its not original dash so not thier problem.

Sorry I didn't realise where he is from ! :(

Thats a problem we have on this forum,a lot of the new members and even some of the older members don't put in their location, which makes it difficult to answer questions and give the correct advice. :?:
