Worn Ball Joints

OK, question for you lot, I've got worn ball joints on the car, and I'm waiting a couple of months to get it in as I'm a bit busy til the end of the year - how exactly would I feel the problem?

Do they affect the quality of the ride at all, and if so, how?

What will be better when they're replaced?

I haven't got any knocking noises now on the car, but I was just wondering what difference I'll feel in the ride quality when they're changed over for new ones?

Think mine are gone as well....hear a slight clicking noise when I turn into my drive............will be fitting som eof my prolex ones sooooooooooooon

More pronounced knocking when turning,gets louder as they wear.

Think its the noise at first.....hopefullly a wizard will be along shortly to explain

Prolex ones are £100 a pair think OEM are somewhat more than that :shutit:

Then if they are really worn,your suspension will be lower than you ever expected :winky: coz your car will be on the floor and you'll be going no-where.

Scorpion, what do You mean? Because my car is really lower, i feel that, because i can't enter my garage without hiting-scratching the bottom of the car, the lower feeling happened after winter

I have known ball joints to collapse if the fault is not rectified on other cars which leads to suspension failure and/or wheel collapse

Oh, that's natural, if You won't fix one problem this will cause another one:/ Besides, i feel clunk noise in the left wheel when going slowly over small bumps, stones or etc. Is it balljoint or shock?

Could be either,bounce,push the suspension down on the wing if it clunks i'd say its suspension.

Tried that before, no clunk sound if ain't rolling. What the hell?
